I Just Logged In Several Minutes Ago And All Of My Contacts Are Gone What

Why does it always say ‘active 1 minute ago’ in Messenger?

When someone is online on Facebook but does not have Messenger turn on, it will always show ‘active one minute ago'.This also applies to when they log on to the Messenger app without turning on active chat.Sometimes people can log on to Facebook or Messenger and sleep off or get busy with other things. You will still see the ‘active one minute ago', but they will not reply to messages. And some other times, people who do not want to be seen online can be actively chatting on Messenger without turning on active chat.So when you see, ‘active one minute ago', it means the user is still active without turning chat on or left their Facebook or Messenger Apps logged on.

Some of my contacts get deleted automatically. How do I stop this?

You phone stores your contacts in various places.sim cardphone storagegoogle account (best place to store contacts)Sim card has a lot of limitations and is not a reliable place to store your contacts. Modern phones dont store your contacts on sim by default. They store them on your google acount which is one of the best places to store your contacts. However, for all your contacts to be backed up onto your google acount, your synchronize option needs to be turned on for google contacts and you must be connected to the internet at least for a few minutes so the new contacts that you add to your phone get backed up onto the google server. So to make it simple, check the following:settings > acounts > autosync should be onsettings > acounts > google > contacts should be ticked or switch onphone must be connected to the internet at least once a day for few minutesYou can verify if your contacts are all backed up onto your google account by visiting contacts.google. com and logging into the same google account you got on the phone.

Why does the active (minutes) not display anymore for a contact on Messenger?

Sure, it does. But, in order for you to see their active status, you have to have YOUR active status turned ON on at least one of the devices of which you are currently logged in. For example, let's say you access FB Messenger from both your smartphone and your laptop. If you turn your active status off on the laptop, but still have yourself logged in on your smartphone, you will see others' active status and the amount of time they have been active so long as THEY have their current status active. But, if you turn your status to OFF on both your smartphone and laptop, that's when you won't see their active status. It's kind of like “I'll show you mine if you show me yours.”BUT REMEMBER, simply because their status shows 'Active', this does NOT mean they READ your message. It means they opened the conversation. So, tread lightly if you do not get a response right away. They could be at a busy intersection waiting for the red light to flip over to green while swiping through apps. They see you responded. They read your message and JUST as they get ready to type their response to you, the light turns green, the person behind them leans on their horn and now they can't respond because they're driving. And to top it off, the Traffic Gods are feeling generous that day and give them green lights all the way to their destination, so they have no time to bust out the phone again to respond. Now here YOU are, staring at their profile picture's icon next to your message, indicating they received and therefore MUST have read your message, and then wondering what on Earth is SO important they couldn't take 3 seconds to reply back to you. (That last run-on sentence was my bipolar contribution.)

Went to sleep with contacts, woke up with one missing!?

I know this is long, but please, please, read it. D: I'm really stressed out and worried about this.

Okay. So last night, I did my Geometry homework and my head starting hurting a bit, so I lied down for a while and turned on my computer. It took too long to load, so I closed my eyes for a few minutes. Logged in, then closed them again. Went onto Facebook for a total of about five minutes, put it into hibernate, and thought I would take a little ten minute rest really quick. This was when the sun was still up, at about six PM. Next thing I know, it's ten PM, and pitch black in my room with my brother talking to me in my room. I woke up twice more, and my right eye really hurt like hell, so I closed them again and slept until five AM to get ready for school. So I get up and go to the bathroom to take out my contacts because I didn't want to wear them to school if I had already accidentally slept in them overnight. I go to my right eye and swipe it across, only to have it really feel irritated, and I don't feel the contact. When I looked in the mirror, it wasn't there! It wasn't ANYWHERE on my eye. The top, the bottom, the side, the middle, ANYWHERE. It pulled a Houdini on me. I took out my left contact, put on my glasses, and frantically searched my bed, sheet, blanket, and the floor surrounding my bed. And it's not ANYWHERE. When I told my friend this morning, she told me it had gone behind my eye and I had to have surgery to remove it. But I don't feel anything in my eye. Well, I actually do, a bit. My right eye just feels a bit.. heavier?, I suppose. Yet I looked around on the Internet, and quite a few optometrists have said that it's physically impossible for the contact to go behind your eye, as it has no opening to go through. So I'm going apeshit here because I don't have a clue what the hell happened to it, and I'm Freaking. Out. It's seven at night, and I've searched my bed and floor again, yet my contact has still not been found. I can't go to my eye doctor for a really long time [i.e. months], so that's not really an option. Unless it's an absolute emergency. Do you guys have any idea where it could have gone, and if it's really behind my eye? T - T

Messenger says someone was active 1m ago. What does this mean?

That would mean that one or more of their devices was on, and logged in. Many opt to stay logged in on social media outlets even wben they are not using them. Therefore if ever their device(s) are turned on and have data or wifi also on, other users will see the little green or blue dot accompanied by the elapsed time since what was just explained took place. Even if they didnt open messenger, it will still show them as logged inIt can also mean the obvious , that the respective user logged in one minute ago, but not always the case.Especially hard to explain to a jealous or insecure partner that fears their significant other has checked in on the sly. Even harder for them to grow up and get a clue/life… js

How do I restore my accidentally deleted contacts from an Android phone?

Basically, when you use a android phone, you must be signed in to the phone using one of your google account. Google helps you backup and restore your contacts very easily just in few steps. Before, you might want to try restoring, I would suggest you to login to your gmail account on a PC and go to the "Contacts" Menu as shown in the figure below. You should find all your contacts in this window. Now go to your phone, follow the steps:1. Go to settings.2. Go to Accounts.3. Select Google.4. You should be able to see all your google accounts here. 5. Make sure you have the same account that holds your contacts is configured here. (Otherwise add it using "Add Account" option)6. Now you can synch all or any of your desired applications as below.7. Make sure you have the Contacts Sync button on as seen in the above pic.8. Now, press the 3 dots in the top of the above screen, and select Sync Now.9. You should be able to see all your missed contacts, are getting synched from your gmail account. Now, what if you do not have your contacts in your gmail account? If you have them in form of soft copy (any file) you can import it in to your gmail contacts as CSV file. and then sync them up easily to your mail. So, I recommend all of you to enable auto sync in your android device with your google account and make sure the contacts are synched by checking in the gmail contacts. Beacuse the contacts are sometimes invaluable to us. Let me know, if you want any more help in this.

What does it mean on Facebook Messenger when the status says active a minute or minutes ago, but the color green indicator does not show?

A solid green dot indicates that the user is online.A few minutes after the user closed the messenger app, a green indicator with the minutes after he/she closed the app, gives us an idea if the user was still online. If he/she is still inactive after an hour, the green indicator will be gone.In cases that it was showed that the user was active a minute or minutes ago, but no green indicator was shown, it only means to two things. This are just based on my personal observations.He/She used a desktop version of FB to chat instead of his/her mobile phone. The user’s phone was also disconnected to the internet after the logged out in Desktop FB.He/She muted your conversation at the moment. Also it can happen that user turned off his/her “active status” on the messenger app settings, that's why there was no green indicator. You can prove this by sending the user a message. If it shows a solid blue check, then the user was online but his/her activity was hidden.

What does it mean when the Messenger status is “messenger” rather than “active x min ago”?

I’ve actually done a bit of digging into this, as I had the same question on my mind. From what I’ve researched and tried by myself, I found that the “messenger” status could occur due to1) the user not being active for more than 24hrs2)the user has turned off online active status for selected contacts (those select contacts will only see “messenger” instead of “active x mins ago”)3) the user does not have the messenger app and is not online on the desktop website.Hope this helps anybody who’s got this question on mind.P.S. If there are any more possibilities for this occurrence, plz feel free to add more.Cheers
