I Took 200mg Of Benadryl

I just took 200mg of Benadryl 110lb??

Wow, that was stupid. Try to throw them up. If you can't tell your mom so she can take you to get your stomach pumped.

Effects of an Overdose With Benadryl

A Benadryl overdose may cause the following symptoms:

•Drowsiness
•Dilated pupils
•Flushing
•Fever
•Slowing of the digestive tract
•Dry mouth, eyes, nose, and throat
•A rapid heart rate
•Nausea and vomiting
•Agitation
•Rapid breathing
•Low blood pressure
•An irregular heart rhythm
•Confusion
•Hallucinations
•Delirium
•Psychosis
•Seizures
•Coma
•Loss of life.

Treatment for a Benadryl Overdose

If the overdose was recent, a healthcare provider may give certain medicines or place a tube into the stomach to "pump the stomach." Treatment may also involve supportive care, which consists of treating the symptoms that occur as a result of the overdose. For example, supportive treatment options for a Benadryl overdose may include:

•Fluids through an intravenous line (IV)
•Medicines to increase blood pressure, control an irregular heart rhythm or control seizures
•Close monitoring of the heart and lungs
•A breathing tube to help with breathing
•Other treatments based on complications that occur.

It is important that you seek medical attention immediately if you believe that you may have overdosed on this medication.

Just took 200mg Benadryl...!!!?

It can be not likely, until he has some pre-current condition, like severely excessive blood strain, asthma, or a couple of different problems, but these stipulations must doubtless prevent him from utilizing it within the first situation. The maximum day-to-day dose, in keeping with Pfizer, is four hundred mg for adults (which i'd count on he's, or as a minimum a teen), so even as i wouldn't suggest in most cases dosing like this, I doubt it'll have any opposed results. When unsure, nonetheless, consistently consult a health care professional.

I just took 200 mg of benadryl?

I love these questions. "I just did something incredibly DUMB with a medication. What are the consequences?"

THINK first, then act.

And to quote the old anti-drug ad, "Why do you think they call it DOPE?"

I took 250 mg's of benadryl?

You're going to be sleepy. Depending on your size, you could potentially take double that and still be entirely fine. While 250 mg is more than you should have taken, it really isn't going to kill you. If you're worried, I guess I would eat some bread products and attempt to help absorb some of the medicine with that instead of having it immediately going into your blood stream. Or induce vomiting and get rid of it that way. You'll feel drunk. People take much more than you did and they do it just for fun. Yet, as I said, it all depends on your weight.

Took 300 mg benadryl, what will happen?

Oh boy, 300mg? I am a pharmacy technician, and I am fairly sure I've never seen a prescription for more than 50mg or 100mg at a time before. I would definitely not take that much at a time again. The doses we see most often are 25mg or 50mg every four to six hours or before bed for sleep. You took quite a bit more than the recommended dose. I would recommend going to the doctor just to make sure you're okay. If you really want to avoid going to the doctor, perhaps you should call the poison control center and see what to do. 1-800-222-1222

Good luck. I would not recommend taking that much again. That much diphenhydramine is not meant to be taken that much at a time. You say you're not suicidal, but it would be really terrible if you unintentionally committed suicide. Be careful. Your body is supposed to last for many many decades. Make sure you take care of yourself.

What would happen if you took 250 mg of benadryl at once?

That depends on how much you weigh. I got really messed up from attempting suicide by taking Benadryl (which in retrospect wouldn’t have worked unless I’d taken a lot more). To be honest I can’t even remember how much I took but being underweight, even the children’s dose is enough to sedate me for hours. It took days for me to get back to normal. For the first day after I couldn’t walk or even stand. I was so weak I couldn’t hold anything or lift my arms. I remembered absolutely nothing from the night before after taking it. Just don’t do it. Anything more than the normal dose isn’t a good idea, despite people telling you it is. It’s not fun either. Really unpleasant.

What happens if you take 100 mg of Benadryl?

Most people feel very sleepy, although there are those who experience the opposite effect with diphenhydramine as well.Diphenhydramine is the generic name for Benadryl. It can be taken as much as 100mg four times a day safely.Interestingly, diphenhydramine is one of the medications that can be safely administered to dogs as well. Consult your veterinarian for specific dosing guidelines and to ensure its safe for your pooch. :-)

I just took 12 Benadryl, what would happen if I took that and eight more?

I just took 12 Benadryl, what would happen if I took that and eight more?Diphenhydramine (brand name Benadryl) is generally sold in 25 mg or 50 mg pills, tablets, or as a liquid.50 mg times 12 is 600 mg, which probably won’t kill you, but may disorient you to the point, where you do something that seriously injures, or kills you and/or someone else.Diphehydramine is an antihistamine with anticholinergic properties, so there are many possible complications. The anticholinergic toxidrome (symptoms that may be present, although it is not typical for all symptoms to be present) is the following mnemonic -Mad as a hatter,Hot as hell,Red as a beat,Dry as a bone,Blind as a bat,Fast as a hare. The emergency medical site Life in the Fast Lane uses the following image to illustrate the symptoms -Anticholinergic ToxidromeMany people use diphenhydramine for help in getting to sleep, because of diphenhydramines sedating properties, but that is only at low doses. The effect with larger doses is agitation and/or delirium (shown as confused in the image). If you are trying to use diphenhydramine as a safer sleep medicine, than a benzodiazepine (Xanax, Valium, Versed, Ativan, Librium, . . . ), imidazopyridine nonbenzodiazepine (Ambien), barbiturate (Luminal, Nembutal, Soconal, . . . ), diphenhydramine is safer and less addictive, but nothing is completely safe (as you can see from the side effects).Consult a doctor about the doses you are taking any time you plant to deviate from the recommendations on the package.More common drugs will probably do more damage, but you can still kill, or permanently disable, yourself with anything.Even drinking too much water can kill you..
