Once Yahoo upgrades to a new format you can't get the old one back. They remove it from their server.

You don't . You do have a few options to let yahoo know you are not happy , first you can tell them how you feel using the feedback option located at the bottom of the homepage about this page. you can also call Yahoo during business hours which is 9 am to 5 pm Pacific time . at 1-866-562-7219 & continually click the 0 until you get a live person on the phone & tell them you are moving your homepage to a different site. Then Change it which many of us have done & are now using Google in protest as a Boycott of the Homepage*

Instructions for "resetting" your home page to the old Yahoo! web page vs. the "new and improved" version. 1. Open your browser and go to a non-Yahoo web page. 2. Go into your options and clear your cookies. 3. Block the following cookie: m.www.yahoo.com 4. Close your browser (just for giggles). 5. Open your browser. You should be able to get the old Yahoo! web page even after you log back into your Yahoo! account. This works for me using Mozilla FireFox 3.

none of the workarounds now seem to work to keep my old my.yahoo.com home page. so very sad as i've been using it for almost 20 years & now have to reluctantly switch to building a google home page, and will never use the new one as it's so cluttered, ugly and dysfunctional. just in case yahoo ever wants to get their old users back, i have been careful not to "opt into the new My Yahoo", based on their seemingly now redundant warning that "once you do opt in, you will not be able to go back to the old version". but does anyone know any way to by-pass yahoo's management & go back to the wonderfully elegant, uncluttered my.yahoo of old?

There's no need to leave yahoo altogether over this issue. You can revert back and forth between the two pages anytime you wish, as often as you wish. Here's how: The URL for the new homepage is: http://m.www.yahoo.com/ The URL for the classic homepage is: http://www.yahoo.com/ However, if you are "opted in" to the new homepage, typing in "www.yahoo.com" will not take you to the classic page. Rather, it will automatically keep you at the new page, changing the URL to "m.www.yahoo.com". Once you have opted in to receive the new homepage, you can only opt out by going to this URL: http://yahoo.com/classic Once you've gone to that URL, the system should automatically opt you out of the new page, and make the old page your new home. Once you've opted out, the system will no longer add the "m" onto the yahoo.com link. If you are opted out and would like to opt back in to receive the new page, go to this URL: http://m.www.yahoo.com/ Make sure the "m." is present. This should take you to the new homepage.
