What are some popular Italian songs?
Hi, I am a freshman in college and am in a beginning Italian class and am wondering what are some good Italian songs to listen to while studying the language? My professor, who is from Italy, plays an Italian song everyday before we start class, and two that I really liked were Inevitabile by Giorgia and Gino e l'alfetta by Daniele Silvestri. What are some other songs, or artists, like those that I may like? I looked at the top twenty songs in Italy, but most of those were songs in English.
Italian pop song popular on 2002?
I don't know what it was called or what almost any of the words are. I heard it on Italian radio when I was young and I really liked it. It was a pop song, in Italian, and it was a girl singing the chorus and a guy singing (almost rapping) the verses. Her main part had the word "solemente" in it a lot, and in between her parts he would sing, "e libero". I know this is a very vague description but if anyone is familiar with songs played on the radio in about 2000-2003, I would greatly appreciate the help!
