If Someone Gets An Inspection Ticket In Your Car Does Their Insurance Gp Up

Can someone other than the owner get a vehicle inspection sticker?

in nj you just need to bring the insurance and registration cards with you to inspection... it does not have to be the owner.

In Pennsylvania, does your car inspection sticker expire at the beginning or end of the month?

For example, the car I bought was last inspected on 10/30/09. The inspection sticker only says it expires "10/10." I thought that meant it expired on Oct. 1st, but some websites say Oct. 31st. I'm so confused! The sticker itself says nothing about what day it actually expires.

Can someone else get my car inspected for me in MA?

What will be needed is the notice of required inspection, a licensed driver and a good credit card to pay the inspection fee.

Can a car with an expired PA (Pennsylvania) state inspection sticker be pulled over in New Jersey?

I was limited by the number of characters, so excuse me for any confusion in my original question. Here is potentially more important information (or maybe it's not going to change anything):
State Registration (sticker on the license plate) is good until June of 2007
Insurance is up to date until January of 2007
Inspection sticker that resides on the windshield is expired (as of July of 2006)

Because I am not driving the car in Pennsylvania, I would be curious why NJ Police have the jurisdiction to pull over or ticket someone for a non-New Jersey violation.

Thanks!

Can I drive a new car in Texas without the inspection sticker?

New to Texas. In Fort Hood.

I just purchased a vehicle in Houston. Turns out the dealer didn't do the inspection (but charged me for it) and he is too far from where I live to have gone back for it. He stated (in writing) that I can get it done on my own and they will reimburse me for it. (I think he screwed me)

So, basically there is no inspection for the time being and no registration or plates on the vehicle other than the paper temps. (I think I got screwed) As a matter of fact can I just go pick up some registration and plates here in my county?

Can I still drive it until the registration and plates come in? Because funny thing, as soon as I got close to home, the Check Engine light came on, so now I won't even be able to get the inspection done until that's cleared.. So, I need to know if I can still drive it.. because I will need to get it to Autozone or something and have it checked anyhow

So:
1. It has a temp plate, Can I still drive it without the emission and safety inspection sticker until registration and plates arrive? at least to Autozone

2. Can I just pick up my own Registration and Plates in person to speed it up?

Can you get an inspection sticker for an unregistered car?

http://www.vehicletest.state.ma.us/

The part you need to read is here:

After passing the visual inspection, you then present your vehicle registration to the inspector. A vehicle must have an active registration and matching valid vehicle ID number (found in the left front side of the dashboard) to get a safety or emissions inspection. After the inspector checks that your registration is valid, you pay the inspector $29. Drivers are then asked to exit the vehicle and remain in the waiting area while the inspector administers the safety and emissions tests.

Getting car inspected late in Massachusetts?

There is no penalty for getting inspected late. Just make sure you don't get pulled over on the way to get inspected. They will know you got it inspected late by the color and the date on the sticker. The inspectors don't care though.

Someone Hit My Car + Expired Sticker?

If your vehicle was legally parked and someone hit you, then you are the victim of a hit and run. The fact that your registration is out of date is another issue entirely. A lot of people don't have current registration. A lot of people do have current registration, but they don't have a current sticker. In order to get the damage fixed, you need to talk to our insurance.

You could pay for it out of pocket to keep your rates from increasing, or give your insurance a call. They will probably tell you to file a police report. The copper might give you a ticket for the registration, but it'd only be a fix-it ticket.

If there is no surveillance available (the police might need to ask) or no witnesses, there isn't a lot anybody can do. Your insurance might want a report to "check the boxes". Good luck.
