Is it possible to use Amazon Cloud Drive to store my Time Machine backups?

Yes you can actually do it.First you need to set up an external HD with Time Machine. Then you just Sync your external HD to Amazon Cloud Drive. You see, what I do is, I backup all my macs to a single 3TB hard drive, and I have that hard drive constantly sync to Amazon Cloud Drive (for this I use an application named Syncovery). The best thing to do is backup to time machine FIRST and then set up Syncovery to upload to Amazon Cloud Drive. You should do it like this only for the first backup, then you just set up the schedule on Syncovery. I have mine set to check every 10 minutes. So, I know that Time Machine always backup to external HD and that every 10 minutes Syncovery will check for any changes on that drive and upload what's been changed. This is the only App I know that can do it the way I want it to work, it can be set up to work unidirectional so you don't have to worry if you loose data because it will always be backed up.

What can we store in the C drive of a computer?

You can store any kind of data that you need. C drive is considered to be special just because it is the primary partition of a hard disk which contains the operating system. Other softwares can be installed preferably in C drive and you can maintain it as a drive for installation of softwares. In future, suppose you feel like changing the operating system or if in case the system fails to boot up due to some technical reason, then you can clear the C drive and install a new copy of your OS. It will be a mess if you have any important data in your C drive, because you have to retrieve it before clearing the C drive. So, usually people don't use C drive to store their personal/important/official files. Apart from these, C drive is as same as any other drive in your machine (or HDD)

Cool, I too got the same issue… and found the same answer every where i.e either send the data to yourself on your another email or to your friends or just save it to your Google’s drive. But I found one smooth solution within Gmail without using another stuff… so lets’s do itFollow the following steps:Open the Gmail in your computer(sign in). On the left hand side click on more and select create new label. Give the name to your label. E.g “Data”.Now compose new email, yeah don’t worry you don’t need to add the recipient email id’s or some other stuff, just click on the attachment icon & upload the required data.Once the file get uploaded successfully, click on the 3 dots present at the bottom right corner (in the same line of attachment icon). Just click on the label or just hover the mouse over it.Check the label box you just created and(for e.g “Data”) & at last just click on the apply.Hear you go, now you can add multiple files or data in that label any number of times and will be available with you.

Are .txt files universal (readable by all computers / programs)?

I have long lists and important information I need to store away on USB files and places like dropbox so that I don't lose them. I usually just save the documents in word format (.doc), but I'm guessing that .txt files are more universal and decrease the chance that the files will get corrupted over time or unreadable if I ever pull them out from another computer; am I right that .txt files are the best? Please share any other tips you may have, thanks!
