Is It Illegal To Put Someone

Is it illegal to put trash in someone else's garbage can when it's on the curb?

In some states it IS ILLEGAL. I know that in the state of Oregon you can be fined up to $1500 for "Dumping", which is what these rude dog owners are doing. Find out your states law on Illegal Dumping and Print out a sign and put it on your can.

If you catch someone doing it, and you want to press charges, then take a picture and call a lawyer. If you succeed you will also be able to pay your lawyer with the money that you would win.

Or for less money than Hiring a lawyer, you could hire a bum to sit by your can and yell at people walking by. Then they would avoid your can.

My wife says that getting a garbage can that you can lock is even cheaper than that. Your garbage collector might be able to help you out with this because they carry "System Keys" for locked cans.

Is it illegal to put someone else's name on a birth certificate if they are not the birth parent?

I do not believe that it is illegal. One of my mom's older brothers has his dad's first wife listed as his birth mother. I do not know the reasoning of this. I'm guessing because his birth mother (my grandmother on mom's side) was not a U.S. citizen. She was living in the country illegally.

She passed away quite a few years back and he's now regretting that he didn't get the error fixed. He will most certainly have to go to court with some of his other siblings as witnesses and take paternity tests to prove that she was his mother.

The best thing for your friend to do is go through an adoption agency or get a lawyer to legally deal with the open adoption. In the end, it will bring the friend, her friend and the child's mind at ease.

Is it illegal for someone to put you on speaker phone and have their friend record your conversation without your knowledge and post it to SnapChat?

It depends on what state you are in. Some states require consent of everyone in the conversation, while others require the consent of only 1 person. If the other person gave consent for the call to be recorded and you are all in a state that only requires 1 party to give consent, it could be legal. If the state requires all parties to consent, then it is illegal. You can look it up online by doing a simple search for consent for recording phone calls and your state.Your question assumes someone who was not a party to the conversation recorded it. I would think that the person who put the call on speakerphone likely gave consent for it to be recorded. I would also think that the other people in the room, when the call was put on speakerphone could be considered participants in the call, so they would be able to grant consent as well.A participant in a coversation is distinguished from hiding a recording device in a plant, or on vase or book shelf, where the person doing the recording may not even be home at the time. If the police seek to do this, they need a warrant. For a regular person, you need to physically be present. (Example is recording a conversation on your phone which could be in your pocket so other people dont notice you recording)Once a person legally has the recorded conversation, i see no reason why they could not share it.Note: if you live in a state that requires everyone to consent to recording conversations, it would be illegal to record a coversation without letting the other people know. Further research would also have to be done if people on the call are located in different states, where at least 1 participant is in a 2 party consent state.

Is it illegal to video tape someone and post it on the Internet without them knowing, much like the Paparazzi does?

When stated as broadly as you have here, no this is not illegal. But there are many specific situations that are illegal. For instance, many states and countries are making ex-girlfriend revenge-style uploading illegal. And depending on where you live, recording audio of someone might need to have permission to be legal.Videotaping (aside from the concern for audio) is treated exactly like photography. And anyone can take your photo without permission and publish it. The only real exception is that you have to be in public. Where you have a reasonable expectation of privacy (your home, dressing rooms, etc.) filming without permission is almost universally illegal. There is a lot about the restriction on use found on this post: If someone takes a cellphone picture of me without my consent, how can I make sure that they've deleted it?

Is it illegal to place a paper in someones mail box?

It is illegal to put anything directly into someone's mailbox. It is an invasion of privacy and usually you will receive a warning from the postmaster with all the rules and regulations regarding doing so in the future. Some people feel its a rude type of advertising and some disregard such literature without looking at it.

You can of course use a small amount of tape to post it on the outside of the mailbox or near the enterance of their home. I think yard sale invites are best done near roads where everyone in or passing through the area can see it.

Is it illegal to put someone name down on a birth certificate that is not the biological father?

This is governed by state law. However, yes, it is illegal to put someone's name on the birth certificate if you know that person is not the biological parent. In fact, some states (such as North Carolina) will not put down a name without the consent of the person - and STILL will not put down the name if the woman is married - even if the child belongs to a man other than her husband. By law, the husband's name must go on the birth certificate. Once the divorce is finalized, the child can go through a name change.

Is it legal to throw your trash in someone else's trash can?

Very likely not, I lived in one city where it was provided by taxes, it still wasn't legal for another resident to use your container because they tracked services. I also worked at a restaurant near several apartments and occasionally people would try to use our dumpster for large items, we generally knew which building it came from and returned it. The managers would wave us to the correct dumpster and charge the resident. One guy was unlucky enough to do this while an officer was driving through the alley. The officer poked his head in the back door to make sure we hadn't given permission, and then wrote them a ticket for dumping the sofa.We would much rather have had people dump the small stuff in our dumpster, than leave it strewn across the parking lot;  but generally businesses get charged differently for trash and are not happy to pay  the extra fees.

Is it illegal to dump your excess garbage in someone elses garbage can on the street?

Damn. What a bunch of wacky answers.

Can't put "your" garbage with "my" garbage, lest it will contaminate my GARBAGE.

Reminds me of a case in which people were upset that a guy was dumping his dog droppings in his trash. City told him, "he can't do that." He brought a baby diaper to a city council meeting and said, "These are in the trash everywhere. S h it is S h it!"

He had no further problems with his neighbors.

Does the US law prohibit a person from planting a GPS tracking device on someone else, or otherwise using a GPS tracking device, to track the location of someone else without the latter's consent?

You attempt to track a boyfriend, girlfriend or significant other in their own carAs of now, here's what private citizens need to know about GPS tracking and the law:It's generally legal to use a GPS tracking device if:You or your organization own the vehicle or asset to be tracked.  You or your organization own the asset that might be taken without your permission.  Your children (under 18 years old) are the focus of the tracking.  You are tracking a car or asset for the purpose of legal repossession in the event of a default on a loan.  It's generally illegal to use a GPS tracking device if:You are not the owner of the car and do not have the legal right to track itYou attempt to track a boyfriend, girlfriend or significant other in their own carFor police and licensed private investigatorsYou should know that the laws governing GPS tracking by government agents, police or private citizens are not definitive. The Fourth Amendment and other state and federal laws grant United States residents certain protections to their privacy, including strict limits on illegal search and seizure. But there's nothing in the Constitution that specifically addresses GPS tracking technology – or many other forms of electronic surveillance.  The Supreme Court and several lower courts issued rulings on GPS in 2012, but those decisions addressed narrow uses of the technology by police and employers, respectively. The courts didn't address the use of GPS tracking devices by private citizens or private investigators.  With its recent ruling on GPS tracking by police, the Supreme Court left many questions unanswered. But the justices signaled that they were ready to delve more deeply into electronic surveillance issues. Visit us at LoneStar Tracking GPS Vehicle Tracking Solutions

Im getting Conflicting Answers Is it Illegal or not to put stuff in someones Mailbox?

Your mailbox is federal property
Federal property is any property owned, leased, or otherwise managed by the federal government. When a mailbox is put into use for the purposes of sending and receiving mail, it becomes federal property. The government agency responsible for managing mailbox property is the U.S. Postal Service (USPS). The USPS delivers mail to residences and businesses.

Mailbox Tampering

This can include: destruction of the mailbox itself, theft of mailbox contents, the placement of items in a mail receptacle by persons other than postal employees, or any action intended to obstruct or damage mail or mailbox property. In short, anyone other than mail recipients and postal employees should not touch a mailbox or its contents.
