Is It Normal That My Streched Ear Is Swollen

I stretched my ear and its swollen with some puss and blood also?

I stretched my ear on Monday from 5/8s to 3/8s and on that day it was hurting I couldn't sleep for a while I kept moving in bed then I woke up like at 2:00 a.m and it was hurting so I took a ibuprofen and went back to sleep, the next day later on towards the night it got puss and bloody and swollen, now it's been like 2 days and its still bloody swollen and has puss, I tried taking one off earlier today sort of but it hurt so I just left them and i put pro oxide around it, i don't know what to do and I'm kind of nervous? Is it okay or like what? Can someone please help me? Thank You.

Is swelling after stretching your ears normal?

It will probably be sore for a few days, but I'd wait on taking the taper out. Do not put in any other kind of jewelry until the piercing stops hurting. If you feel you can bare it, put in a steel tunnel, don't use wood or silicon. These have little holes in them where bacteria will be trapped, and you could get an infection. Slide the surgical steel tunnel in directly after the taper. Your lobes should never be bright red or swollen for more than a few hours-- if they are, take the piercing out immediately. You'll have to stretch back up.

Stretching ears, gland in neck swollen?

While stretching my ears the glands on my neck never got swollen so i guess its not normal. Go down a size on the side that is swollen and wait a while then restretch

I stretched my ear and its swollen how do i get it to go down?

Ice it and take ibuprofen. Ibuprofen is an anti-inflammatory and will help reduce the swelling, as will the ice.

What kind of jewellery are you using? Make sure if there are any o-rings that they are loose enough to give your ear plenty of room for the swelling. If there is an actual backing to the jewellery (as opposed to just a plug with no backing) make sure the jewellery is long enough for the swelling, you may even need to remove the backing or o-ring for a bit.

Good luck.

I stretched my ear, and its gone big, red, and swollen, and it hurts. How do i reduce the swelling?

I bought a 3.2mm taper the other day, and i tried to stretch my ear, but it wouldnt go any further, so i got my brother to push it in all the way yesterday.

It was fine all day, and i went to bed but then woke up again at 5am, because my ear was hurting a lot.

I decided to take the taper out, because i couldnt handle the pain as i wanted to go back to sleep, but i noticed that my lobe was very swollen and red, and quite firm, especially compared to my other ear. It started to bleed a little too.

When i woke up again at about 9am, it was still red and swollen, and a bit painful.

Im keeping the taper out, and i just want to know how can i reduce swelling on my lobe?
Because im quite worried about it D:

Thankss :)

I stretched my ear from 8G to a 6G yesterday, today it's swollen, hard and painful - did i do it right?

I stretched my ear from 8G to a 6G yesterday, it was painful all day and throbbing. Today it's swollen, hard and still painful, I'm just wondering if i did it right and if this is normal? I don't want to take the taper out (Incidentally i used a Bull horn taper)...I'm no stranger to pain so i don't mind keeping it in as long as i know that what I've done is normal and that it will heal ok?
Is there anything I can do to reduce swelling, I have taken arnica to reduce bruising/swelling...Don't Currently have any Ibuprofen but will get some if it's really gonna help. Would appreciate any ideas or advice!

Thanks for your help! :-)

Swollen ear lobes after stretching my ears?

Hopefully this'll help, I've had my ears stretched for three days now, two days, and they’ve been swollen and red, along with pain. The pain has gotten to the point, where I can't sleep, let alone think about moving my head to the side. But at the same time, there are times, where it doesn't feel like I have my ears stretched, everything feels fine.

This hasn't ever happened to me before and this is the first time, my ears are swollen and red.

Swollen, sore, bleeding, pussing stretched ear?

I just stretched my ear to a 2 g like 2 days ago. Well I took the ring out to soak it in sea salt water just 12 hours after the stretch and a little bit of a white substance was oozing a little in the hole, not a lot, and just a tiny drop of blood but I haven't seen anymore. But the inside of my hole is beet red, I am soaking them 2 times a day with sea salt and also cleaning them with bactine. Its only been 2 days so is this normal? Should I be doing anything else for the healing process? Please help!

Oh and by the way I have been looking around and these people I keep seeing posting on others questions about how stupid we are for stretching, well I am 25 and not a child, I knew what I was getting into before I made my decision, so keep your comments to yourself unless it pertains to my question.. thanks!

Is it normal for earlobe piercing to get red when cleaning it after a month?

As long as the earlobe is not bleeding, swollen or hurting it should be fine. I had an earring in one ear some years ago. I took my earring out two weeks early and started wearing a dangle sterling silver feather. After a couple of weeks the back of the earlobe was wet and hurting. I decided to wait a few more days and when I pulled my t-shirt over my head the next day,the earring caught and made a nasty looking rip in my lobe. Keep your earring in as long as they told you so your earlobes have time to heal and keep them clean
