Can you lose weight by drinking water?

if you drink a lot of water constantly will you lose more weight? ive heard that it helps flush your system.. so does that make you lose weight?
Note: i exercise and eat healthy already.. im just wondering if drinking extra water is an added help to weight loss.

Can you loose weight by only drinking water?

You would definetly lose weight.
I know that when I started drinking more water, along with my daily 2 bottles ( 600mL total ) of OJ, as well as a coffee or two, I started to eat less and it helped me lose weight. I ate less because I tried to drink when I felt "hungry", because sometimes you're just thirsty.
The water will also help clean out your system and get your body back to a very good health, so long as you don't eat a lot of foods that are poor for your health. The only thing you have to watch out for is if you stop cold turkey on it, you're just going to gain back all of the weight. I ended up losing over 10 lbs in three months, only by drinking lots of water, my OJ and my coffee. Good luck,


*Side note - To everyone who thinks she means JUST DRINKING WATER, NOT EATING, that'd be just silly wouldn't it? Who would even consider that? She's obviously going to keep eating, just cut out the soda and juice from her diet.

Will I lose weight if I just eat breakfast, and just drink water for lunch and supper?

Yes, and you could get ill if you stick to this plan for more than few days (I won't call it diet, cause it's not diet, it's stupid plan).And immediately when you start eating something else beside breakfast, you will gain weight again, possibly even more than you had at the beginning since your body will start accumulating all the things it was missing when you were fasting.It's bad idea and not recommended at all - not one nutritionist, doctor, physical trainer or who ever has even little bit of knowledge about health and food will not recommended this idea of yours.Instead of eating just breakfast and being hungry for the rest of the day, try consuming 3 meals based on proteins, low carb vegetables and good fat (olive oil, omega 3), exclude carbs from your diet (sweets, fruit, soda drinks, bread, pasta) and exercise.And please understand - not eating will just harm your body and your health.

If I eat fruit and drink water for a week, how much weight will I lose?

I'm just eating grapes and cherries, and maybe more if I can get some. If I do this for a week, how much can I expect to lose? I'm normal weight but wanting to get down to 25 pounds but I know I can't do that in a week. Just wondering how much I can lose in one week from eating fruit and just drinking water, can I eat fruit late as a snack? At like 1am>

when you stop eating your body goes into panic mode and slows down your metabolism. You will feel tired and drowsy all the time.


When you do eat, your body will turn that into fat and attempt to store it.

its not a good idea, just eat normally and exercise daily.

A common misconception is when people think about exercise they think about hear beating fast, lungs hurting, and pushing your body to the limit. That is exercise but you don't have to do that to loose weight.

Just try walking 30 - 1hr a day at 3. - 3.5 mph. Try to keep your heart rate at 130 for optimum fat burn.

2 Cups of Kellogs Corn Flakes Cerial and 1 Cup of 2% Low Fat Milk
{330 Calories}

and thats how i lost my weight with standard excersise
