Is There A Way To See All The Songs You Heard In Pandora

Is there any way to see which songs I've "liked" on my Pandora account?

I want to buy some songs that are on my Pandora station, but I don't know how to see the songs that I've "liked". You know, when you press the thumbs up button. Is there a way to see which songs I've liked on my Pandora account?

How do you get your Pandora station to play clean songs?

I copied and pasted this directly from Pandora's FAQ. I had seen it yesterday when I was looking at their FAQ.

Q: How do I enable Parental Controls to lock the explicit content filter setting with a PIN number?

As per our terms of use, listeners between the age of 13-17 should listen to Pandora with parental guidance (please see the Parental Advisory in the 4th paragraph of our Terms of Use for more information). Therefore, we have provided an option to lock the explicit content filter in place on Pandora listener accounts held by minors.

To activate this feature, you must be signed in to the minor's account. Then, click the blue "account" link in the upper right of the page, to the right of the minor's account name. (In certain views of the Pandora Tuner, you must first click the "Account" button which will appear along the top edge of the Pandora Tuner, then select "Edit Your Account.")

At the bottom of the "Your account settings" screen, to the right of the "Allow explicit content?" text, click "edit." Then click the "NO. Do not allow explicit content" button. Next, on the "Explicit Content Filter" screen, click the "YES. Create a PIN" button, enter your desired alphanumeric PIN and enter your own private, valid email address. Finally, in the lower right of the screen, click the "Set PIN" button, and then the "ok" button.

[ Note: Should you ever forget the PIN, a reminder can be sent from the "Explicit Content Filter" screen within the minor's account to your own private email address.]

What is meant by Pandora's Box... I hear it all the time and dont understand the significance of it?

According to Greek myth, in a more innocent time there was a curious young woman named Pandora, who opened a big locked box, for no reason except that she had been forbidden to do so. To her horror, she discovered why it had been locked: It contained hate, jealousy, greed, spite and all the things that make the world unpleasant. They flew at her and stung her worse than the most venomous insect ever could; they terrified her and made her cry; then they flew off to spread misery around the world. Pandora slammed the lid down -- too late.

As she lay sobbing, she hear a faint knocking sound from inside the box and a sweet voice calling, "Please let me out." Thinking she couldn't possibly make things any worse, she opened the lid again and a beautiful little creature emerged, who smiled at her and touched her wounds and made her feel better.

"Who are you?" Pandora asked.

"I am called Hope."

Like all myths, this one is intended to tell a story about human nature. But it also made its mark on our common heritage; now whenever anyone uses the expression "to open a Pandora's box", we know that he means "to be led by our curiosity into making things much worse than they are already." It's another version of the "original sin" concept.

Why can't I replay a song on Pandora?  Or if I can, how do I do it?

You can't, because of their licensing restrictionsThis is no longer part of their general FAQ, which I've noticed lately contains much less information. I'm not sure why Pandora has removed this explanation from it's FAQ, as it seems like many people would still be interested in knowing the restrictions on listening and why they exist.http://blog.pandora.com/mt/mt-se... - begin quote - Why can't my Pandora station do certain things? Our music licenses forbid hearing a song or artist in a predictable way. Here are our primary licensing restrictions:We cannot play a specific song or artist right away, or "on demand."We cannot play more than four songs credited to a particular artist name in a three-hour period. This is the maximum, so each artist may play even less often than that.A Pandora station cannot play a playlist of only certain songs or artists: we must include a mix of similar songs and artists on each Pandora station. You cannot rewind, or immediately replay, any song on Pandora. You cannot download or cache music from Pandora. Pandora requires an active internet connection. If you'd like to hear the music Pandora plays for you offline, we make it easy to purchase the music you hear.A Pandora station cannot provide unlimited song "skips."- end quote -

How can i get Pandora to stop playing live versions of songs?

Sorry, no, Pandora very deliberately will not allow you any control over the minute details of song selection. All you can choose is the "kind" of song, sort of.

All you can do is "thumbs down" the songs you don't like, and they won't play it again. Altho maybe if you kvetched to Customer Service, they might listen. It won't hurt to try.

What are the songs you are most happy to hear when they come up on your Pandora stations?

The Beatles' "Here Comes the Sun," James Gang's medley "The Bomber" with the long version of "Bolero" and "Cast Your Fate to the Wind," and Jimi Hendrix's "All Along the Watchtower," the latter two of which feature two of the best guitar solos ever recorded. "Here Comes the Sun" is just a marvelous song in every way.

How can I get Pandora to add more variety and not play so much of the songs I have given a thumbs up?

To add to the answer provided by Hunter Walk:To reduce the number of times you hear the songs you've thumbed up, you can remove the thumbs up for those songs in your station settings as well.  Removing the thumbs up from all of those songs will reduce the variety your station provides because Pandora will have started playing songs that also sound like those songs.  To maintain the integrity of your station, add the artists who created those songs to your station, while removing the thumbs up from the songs themselves.  You will get more music that sounds like those artists but it will not play all of those specific songs so often. If you still need more variety but want to keep the station a little narrow, only add artists who fit that sound.  If you want to broaden the station dramatically, try mixing in artists that are very different from the original artists you started the station with.At the end of the day, also realize that Pandora actually has a pretty small catalog that spans a huge number of genres, so you are bound to run out of new discoveries in any given channel after a bit of time no matter what you do.
