Is There Any Motorbikes Parks In Victoria

What is the best way to travel around in Victoria BC? Is it best to rent a car or use the bus system?

The best way to get to Victoria from Vancouver is by The Pacifac Coach Lines. There are busses leaving the airport in Vancouver every two hours which will take you right to your hotel in Victoria or drop you off downtown. The cost is only about $40.00 one way. The ferry takes 1 3/4 hours and is an exciting trip in itself. Be sure to watch for whales. Once you get to Victoria, I think you would find that if you rent a car it's going to end up parked most of the time anyways because the majority of the tourist attractions are in about a six block radious of each other right downtown. I would suggest doing all of the walking tours of Victoria first and then renting a car for a couple of days to see the attractions on the outskirts of the city or out of town. When I lived in Victoria I used to leave my car at home and walk everywhere because it was so much faster because of the heavy tourist traffic both in cars and on foot. There are several very interesting ways to see the sites in Victoria. You can take a double decker bus tour, ride the Tally Hoes ( horse drawn carriage tours) ride in a rickshaw, take boat tours, rent a bicycle or scooter, ( all of these are available right beside the Parliment Buildings) or even take the city transit bus. Victoria's city busses are very clean and will take you anywhere you want to go. Some must see's in Victoria include the Boardwalk along Marina Boulavard, tea at The Empress, The Parliment Buildings, the buskers at Inner Harbour, Whale watching tours, Underwater Seaworld and the museums. Out of town must see's are East Sooke Park, French Beach, Chamanius (city of murals), Butchard Gardens and the Coach House pubs along the highway on route to Sooke. The websites below include information on Victoria, bus information, car rentals and attractions. Hope this helps and that you enjoy your trip. I know you will love it.

Do I need a license to drive a dirt bike? I currently live in Arizona, I am 17 and I have a driver’s license. Do I still need some other license to drive an ATV (four wheeler) or a dirt bike?

If you want to ride these vehicles on private property, you don’t need any license at all.If you want to drive them on any public highway or property, you do need a motorcycle license for the dirt bike, and a driver license for the ATV.As a matter of fact, if you try and drive a dirt bike or ATV on a public highway, you would probably get a ticket even if you DID have an appropriate license, unless they were properly registered, licensed and insured for travel on public highways. You might get the dirt bike licensed if it had appropriate equipment, but very unlikely that the ATV would be able to be registered and licensed, and I don’t know of any insurance company that would give you such a policy.

Can removing baffles in the exhaust pipes of a motorcycle cause engine damage?

The baffles are designed to create the proper amount of back pressure to ensure escaping gases do not allow ignited gases or flames to leave the combustion chamber, period. When this happens you have massive heat burning through the exhaust for no reason, increased piston temperatures, increased cylinder head temperature, increased cylinder head valve/valve guides, and seal temperatures, and a whole plethora of problems that will quickly start destroying your engine from the inside out.Chrome plating is there to make the exhaust look good, not to start turning red then black for no reason other than stupidity. Many bikers that have well over 100K of mileage on their vehicles still have a shiny even chrome exhaust on their original rides. And this added heat quickly destroys the exhaust studs and nuts in record time. The flip side of this stupid behavior is that you’ll also attract police as well. The noise level of your ride is under DOT/MOT regulations. Ride without a baffle and quickly see how fast your ride safety certificate will be cancelled, your ride impounded for inspection, you’re served with several fines, and maybe even find your license under investigation.I know of a student that illegally modified his 49cc scooter years ago. He heavily modified the engine, removed the speed governor, the exhaust baffle, and then replaced the brake lights with LEDs, before they were legal. He found himself beside a state trooper on the interstate one day and then got pulled over. He lost his license for 30 days and his ride impounded, both on the spot. During inspection they found his ride engine had been modified to almost 80cc while only 49cc was allowed. The speed governor was removed and now he was able to drive about 55mph max. The LED brake lights were illegal at that time. The removed baffle resulted in excessive noise pollution as well as allowing the exhaust to become dangerously hot. The side mirrors were also removed. He found his drivers license being investigated and lost his license for 1 year. In total he found himself with over $5K in fines alone, not to mention his legal representation costs. A really bright guy, this one.

Outrunning cops on a motorcycle?

my buddies here have R1's, CBR1000's etc. they claim theyre uninsured, not registered, unlicensed, and theyre pretty much illegal in every way possible. they say they were in a few police chases and got away easily, they have a hinge on their bike plates so when they see cops they just flip up the plate and get away. they always want me to go ride with them but I am not a trouble maker, I do agree with them though that insurance is ridiculous because were young and I end up working 2 jobs to pay for everything whereas they work part time and are fine. what do you guys think? are those guys telling the truth? is it worth the risk? and how often do you get caught and/or chased?
