If I turn my Facebook chat off will it show when I've been online?
No, if you go offline than no one can see what time you have been online. But if you are online and someone opens your msg he/she can see you online but not the green dot, there is only “ Active now ” written.
The 'InitialChatFriendsList' on facebook?
So, what exactly does this list mean? Some people say it's in order from the people that you talk to the most, or that its the same as your chat list, but mine is not. I will refresh, turn off chat, turn off internet etc, but the friends list is always different than the chat list. There are people on there that don't show up on my chat list at all, people I talk to once in a blue moon, and people that have never interacted with me. What exactly is this list?

This Is Just a chatlist.. if u dont believe me...then turn off the chat...then disconnect ur internet... now open chat when there is no internet connection... u will see ur friends in exactly that order as u hav seen in source code in front of InitialChatFriendsList.
Unfriended contact on Facebook still shows up on chat bar when online?
Someone I recently unfriended on Facebook still shows up on my chat list when they are online, both on my computer and on my phone. We talked on messenger briefly, exchanging words but why are they still showing up on my chat bar? And am I showing up on theirs too still?
How to turn off facebook chat mobile?
It's now driving me up the wall trying to remove the little mobile device that other people see me on chat. Here's what I've done: Set my chat availability to offline on the browser Logged out of facebook messenger on my phone and removed the app Logged out of the facebook app on my phone and removed it I've removed my facebook account from the sync list on my phone I've removed my number under the https://www.facebook.com/settings?tab=mobile I've removed all the active sessions under Security -> Active Sessions But yet people still see the little mobile at the side of my name. Does anyone have any idea how I can remove it so it shows me as completely offline?!
