my parents are allowing me to get a tattoo for my 15th birthday even tho it is illegal in my state until your 18 but if any teachers at my school said anything about my tattoo could i get introuble and could they make me tell them who did it? i already know who is going to do it (my sisters tattoo artist she has 2 whole sleeves)

If there is your going to most likely contract a virus or infection. I'm not going to tell you not to but if you under the age of 18 I suggest you don't for legal reasons and that your body isn't done growing yet and it will stretch out. Trust me I've had a few kids come to me asking me to do theres at a young age and they wound up regreting it. I no longer do that.

Do you want to live with having Hep C, or HIV at 17? That's what you are heading for, with underground tattoo shops. Please think twice about what you are wanting.

They provide ointment for aftercare and provide care instructions. They have been apprenticed before they are allowed to work on paying customers.Or you could go to a scratcher if you really can't wait. They work out of their kitchens and are unlicensed. They haven't been apprenticed or they didn't last in an apprenticeship. They don't know or care about aftercare, they aren't bothered about repeat business because there will always be plenty of impatient underage people beating a path to their door so they take less care, they use cheap needles and probably don't clean their equipment properly so you're more likely to get infected, they use the cheapest inks. Oh, and very often they can't draw for toffee.But at least when you are 18 you'll be able to go to a proper studio to get a cover up if you can't afford to get it lasered off.

Hey, I'm 17 living in Colorado and am a bit impatient in the waiting 'till the 18th birthday process regarding a tattoo. I know that Colorado tattoo statutes say that if I have parental consent, I can get one. My dilemma is that my regular shop (where I get piercings done and whatnot) won't tattoo me until I'm 18, period. In my opinion the entire tattooed image is about being a rebel of some sort and that image has not changed since the first tattoo was applied.The problem with underage people and tattoos is many. Some actually do get tattoos from professional shops while others are tattooed by their friends that decided to mail order a set up and try it out. I have always been told “cheap tattoos aren’t always good and good tattoos aren’t cheap”.Now the professional places that do tattoo underage people either do so illegally or unknowingly. To get a tattoo from the shop that I frequent a person under 16 must be accompanied by a parent or guardian and hand that individual there for the entire time too. Of other shops it is easy to possibly use fake ID, however 95% of shops use a “check in” questionnaire sheet to verify that the person getting the tattoo is aware of the risks involved. On this sheet in several places are questions related to age and parental consent. So an underage person would have to lie on this sheet in order to get beyond the front entrance and the actual tattoo. This questionnaire sheet is a legal document when signed and therefore could prove fraud and deceit in court on the underage person’s part.Lastly and sadly is also that several underage people have gotten tattoos with one parent’s consent only to have the other parent 100% against the idea and therefore the anger of the second parent causes many problems for the shop involved in doing the tattoo.
