Am I eating good so far today?

You're not eating enough actually. When you consume less than 1200 calories your body goes into starvation mode and burns muscle, while preserving fat. This stunts your metabolism and will eventually lead to weight gain. Plus not eating enough harms your body, and things such as skin, hair and nails. It's not pretty.

Also, you're not having like any vegtables or any protein; that worries me. You should have two to three servings of protein a day (a serving is the size of a card-stack), as well as plenty of fruits and vegtables. I also hope that the scone was whole-grain, because you shouldn't have refined, simple carbohydrates. Carbs aren't bad, but some are better than others. Complex ones are the ones your body needs and that comes from things such as fruits and whole-grain products. Plus your lacking healthy fats. Fats should compose around 20% of your calories, I've heard. Monosaturated and polysaturated are the good for you ones and those are in things such as almonds and salmon.

I suggest eating more, and eating healthfully. Talk to a doctor about a diet plan.

Also, eat small meals every three hours. This helps your metabolism. Plus, breakfast should have protein and fiber, as well as being your largest meal of the day; this helps you burn extra calories as well as making you eat less throughout the course of the day. Your meals should progressively get smaller.

You're not doing it right. Talk to a doctor. That's extremely unhealthy.

This is what I've had today:

Breakfast at 7:

Serving of strawberries
An orange
Two small, whole-grain pancakes
Two healthy turkey sausage links the size of a card deck

Snack at 10:30 (Three hours after breakfast)

Fruit Salad with vegtables I added
Yogurt, no fruit, no sugar; Greek

Lunch (what I'll eat at 2)

Large salad with serving of grilled, skinless chicken breast, no dressing
Cheese and almonds

Dinner (at 5)

Serving of brown rice
Serving of mashed sweet potatoes and cauliflower
Three ounce steak

Dessert (at 8)

Dates (a fruit)
Dark Chocolate, two small squares
Warm Milk

Not really, I'm afraid. Skip all sorts of diet, energy and protein bars. If you want to lose weight, or even just become healthier, then you need to change your lifestyle. I presume you're not going to be eating kids energy bars for the rest of your life!

Start off with a fruit bowl, and some natural yoghurt on top. Fruit is high in calories, yes, but if fills you up and you probably won't be looking for more until lunchtime. Don't have too much, maybe a few grapes, a few slices of apple, a few pieces or orange, a few slices or pear and kiwi and three or four strawberries. That's enough. Maybe have a low calorie vitamin drink (less than 30 calories, yes they exist, probably in your local supermarket), and then a glass of water.

For lunch, skip the subs. You don't have to have brown bread, but have better quality white bread. Not the stuff with added sugar and salt, the slightly thicker stuff that has a bit of flour on it. Switch between tuna, chicken and ham so you don't get bored, and use some low fat spread with low fat mayonnaise. Hellmans have an extra light mayo that is actually pretty good! Water would be preferable, but a glass of something like Sprite Zero or Diet Coke is okay too. Stay away from Doritos. They have loads of calories. There are, however, plenty of low calorie chips that taste pretty good.

For dinner, now that's something, if you're young, that you can't control, since your parents probably make it. You can, though, make sure you don't eat too much and that you watch your portions. Maybe ask your Mom or Dad (whoever makes the dinner), if they could be concious of the portion that they give you and if they could use healthier lower fat ingredients. On nights where you get pizza, that's okay, you deserve a treat, just don't devour loads of it and limit the amount of slices you get.

hi! well your breakfast was OK. maybe try some sugar free jam and a whole wheat english muffin, if you really like that combo. your snack was a very good choice. instead of drinking fruit punch try to get more water, or if you really want juice get the 100 percent juice. anything is better than soda! for lunch you could try a nice salad with little or no dressing. even if you go to a fast food place you could get a grilled chicken salad, just take off the cheese and bacon bits, and the dressing. if you have a chick-fil-a you could get a grilled chicken sandwich and a fruit cup. this meal only has a little more than 300 calories. if you are at home try a wrap. they are very good! good luck!

Breakfast: You did not need the peach. The peach AND the cantaloupe is too much fruit sugar at one sitting. It would be better to have the peach (only if it's small-otherwise 1/2 a peach) with 12 almonds for a snack 2-3 hours after breakfast. Check and make sure the pita pocket is not made with HFCS. Most non-organic breads are.

Snack: You did not need the apple juice for your small snack. Are you sure that a serving size of apple juice is both 8 ounces and only 30 calories? It is so much better to EAT your calories and drink water or tea which have zero calories. If you get sick of plain water, add a SPLASH of apple juice to some sparkling water for a yummy treat. If you eat an apple instead of drinking it, your body can handle the sugar rush easier because of the fiber in the whole fruit. Try to never drink more than 4 oz of any fruit juice at one sitting. Best to eat your calories instead of drink them.

Regarding the granola yogurt. I'm going to guess that this came in one cup. If so, that means there is a good chance that your yogurt has HFCS and maybe corn syrup too and maybe some fake colors and definitely some chemicals that you can't pronounce. A much better snack would be to start with plain organic yogurt and add some frozen organic blueberries and maybe four walnuts. No chemicals, no cheap sugars, no unpronounceable ingredients.

Lunch: Please look at the jar of pickles. Unless they're organic there is a real good possibility that those pickles have HFCS in them. PLEASE don't allow your body to consume anymore HFCS. It's a CHEAP sugar and half of the HFCS processed in the US is processed with mercury.

Pasta should be whole wheat. The white processed carbs in pasta and potatoes and white rice is not the best thing for trying to lose weight. If you must eat white pasta, please at least make sure it's organic. That way you can at least eliminate the herbicides, pesticides and chemical fertilizers which make your body work too hard in trying to process it.

Get back to nature and give your body a break by not consuming foreign colors or foreign flavors or preservatives or chemicals that are foreign to our bodies. Stop eating "food-like" foods and get back to real whole foods.

youre 16..you shouldnt really be worrying about this right now... or calorie counting
BUT youve eaten well today... i would go for something besides the banana for breakfast though, like cheese..it has protein and will fill you up better, unlike the banana which isss good for you but it has sugars, spiking your sugar later on and it will make you hungry for your snack
gravys not really good for you but you can do it considering you havent really eaten anything

you have a lot of calories to consume still
to lose weight you just have to burn off my exercising mroe than you take in eating..

and im jealous you can stay so on tap with your eating and not give in.. 3 pretzels.. itd be hard not to eat more

Today I ate 4-day old food. Is that bad?

Let me tell you something i shouldn’t but i will.Most of the places that sales pre made meals to go, they use food not cook at the same day, some times they use food that is in there for 2 or more days already, and the shelf life is 3 days after they make the meals and price at the same day. When is “fresh” so…. if your 4 day old food it was cook by you, you’re probably on the more positive side than if you bought from a store whee they sale pre made meals (like those huge grocery stores) ALL depend where your food came from ! and which kinda food it is .Save The Foodthis link can help you to define if your food it was good or not to eat, but if you read this means you're all set , Your food it was SAFE!!!! to eat!!!

What have you ate today and how far along are you?

Well, good for you. I had Dr. Pepper and Taco Bell just now! I'm trying to eat spicy foods, but it's not working...but it does taste good. You don't need to worry about what's normal to eat, just eat healthy and make good decisions as much as you can. Don't worry if occasionally you let yourself have a soda or a candy bar...it's ok. Take your vitamins, eat veggies and fruits and meats. Drink lots of water and milk and oj. You don't need to eat much more than you did before you were pregnant, you just should eat a lot more frequently. Every two hours, you can have little small meals, little snacks, healthy things, and you should be fine. And if you gain weight...it's ok. That's what is supposed to happen during pregnancy. As long as you don't eat Mcdonalds all day long and gain like 70 pounds, it's fine. And keep active too, walking, swimming, and yoga are really good during pregnancy and it will help you gain a healthy amount of weight. Good luck!

Surprisingly well, thank you.I'm at home with fever, so I had to skip working today.I finished reading a novel for a literary club I'm member in, made myself some pasta with pesto, improvised on the piano for a while, read some philosophy of the most digestible kind — and even managed to miracoulously help my daughter when she was writing a school assignment about an imaginary species into which the arctic fox will supposedly evolve within 40,000 years, vulpes striatus. I ate a lot today what should i do?

i ate a hell of a lot of calories today. i dont know what happened.
i ate 6 vande walle candy bars
6 pieces rye bread..4 of those with all natural skippy peanut butter
about 2 cups of spanish rice
a half a pepper
some goldfish crackers
a fudge bar
2 pancakes with syrup
and i think thats all..
and im not even full?!?! whats up with that
i dont want to eat anymore!
but all in all i added it up and it came to like 3900 calories!!!!!

Am I eating healthy today so far?

Firstly, instead of white rice, eat wholegrain rice because IT IS good for you. Wholegrain rice is a complex carb and will fill you up for longer and of course has all the nutritional wholegrain benefit too which you need in a healthy, balanced diet. You're right about white rice not being so good because it's refined, but don't be scared about eating portions of wholegrain rice/pasta/sweet potaoes/beans (kidney, butter, navy, etc) as sources of good carbs. You NEED these good carbs. Don't be listening to people who tell you to cut carbs out. Even when you're on a diet they're essential and if your goal is to eat healthy as you question title suggests, then you need good complex carbs to be healthy.

From what you've listed you've eaten today you haven't nearly eaten enough. You need to eat enough to lose weight too. Eating too little can cause you to hang onto weight as your body will think it's starving and hold on to fat supplies for 'survival'. If you carry on eating like that you're going to feel very weak after a while and become more unhealthy then healthy.

Your breakfast is so low in calories and although you may not think it, loaded with sugar. Those cereal bars are full of hidden sugars. Swap the cereal bar for a bowl of oats mixed with a few raisins. Don't overdo the coffee either. Stick to a small glass of juice and then have a glass of water. For lunch. don't be scared to eat a wholemeal pitta with tuna and salad or something similar. Broccoli with a topping for lunch is not enough and can no way sustain you through the afternoon especially if you've only had the cereal bar for lunch. For dinner, have the rice, but just limit the portion size. Stick to lean chicken or turkey, white fish, oily fish and have one of the complex carbs i lised above with your protein source. Remember to eat loads of green veggies with every dinner you have. For snacks, try small handfuls of nuts, low fats yoghurt, cottage cheese, oatcakes, bananas, green apples, etc. Drink 2 litres of water a day.

Remember you need a balance of carbs, protein and good fats in each meal in order for your diet to be all round healthy and don't be scared to eat.
