Is This Legal In Canada

Are stun guns legal in Canada?

I think they are legal, but only law enforcers can carry them.

Is the steyr aug legal in canada?

No. The Steyr AUG is classed Prohibited, meaning that the range of circumstances under which one can own it is EXTREMELY limited, and you certainly can't hunt with it or even take it to range to fire it.

On the other hand, if you want a fancy little bullpup semi-auto, the TAR-21 Tavor can be had as non-restricted. Why, you might ask? Because the AUG is specifically prohibited by name in legislation which was drawn up by folks who didn't really know anything about firearms and thought it was scary, in part because a disgruntled ex paratrooper used one in an armored car heist... which was foiled by the resolve of another ex paratrooper who was one of the car guards.

Is it legal to sleep in your car in Canada?

I've done exactly what you propose to do a number of times, and had no problems at all. Nobody even looked at me, as far as I know. Along the Trans-Canada, particularly, people pull into truck stops, big gas stations, and even Wal-mart parking lots to sleep. I have no idea if it's legal or not, and in any case that kind of thing is a local thing, up to each municipality to decide if they are going to come down on people sleeping in their cars. There is no nationwide law. And doing it in a truck stop or some place along the highway is a far different matter than doing it on a residential street. I'm sure that from a law enforcement point of view they would rather have you catching a few z's in a gas station parking lot than falling asleep at the wheel.

I mentioned Wal-mart parking lots because unless it's specifically banned in that town, Wal-mart is okay with people staying in their parking lots. After all, you might buy something there. It's usually RVs; if you see a few tucked away in a corner in the evening, that's why they're there. And it's easy to find out where the Wal-marts are on their website. Truck stops aren't so easy to find because as far as I know there are no national chains of them as there are in the US. I know there's one in Kenora, one in Chilliwack, and pretty sure there's one in Revelstoke. There's one in Princeton and one in Hope. Those are the only ones I know of for sure. Google it, there may be more info on the net than there used to be.

You can also use campgrounds which are much cheaper than motels, especially if you can find small municipal ones instead of provincial ones.

Kukri Knife Legal in Canada?

I was just wondering because it has a 12 in. blade. I live in Vancouver.

I've read bill C68 and it said that a "folding knife" cannot have a blade larger than 3-4 in. and also you can't have a knife perpendicular to the blade for stabbing, where on the kukri the blade is made to slash.

Is it legal to have a penguin as pet in Canada?

Can I keep a penguin as a pet?
http://ourworld.compuserve.com/homepages...

Over the years we have often been asked about the possibility of
keeping penguins as pets. We are no experts, but we have talked to
several. They all are completely against the idea.
First off, all species of penguin are protected so that you could only
(legally) get a penguin from a Zoo that had bred it.

Secondly, you would need a constant and reliable supply of fresh
frozen fish as well as appropriate vitamin supplements, you would also
need to know a vet who was familiar with penguins and the many
diseases they are prone to when kept in captivity.

Thirdly, you would need to be able to feed the birds every day so you
couldn't take any more vacations! You can't just put a penguin into
kennels!

Fourthly, you would need to build a suitable enclosure to keep the
bird - remember different species have very different environmental
requirements (temperature, vegetation etc.). For example, there are no
species of penguin that could live outside year round in say Chicago
with its wide temperature variations. Plus all species of penguins
require access to a large, deep and clean pool of water - preferably
salt water.

Fifthly, penguins tend to live in large colonies - anything less than
say 20 birds would not be sufficient. So you would need a very healthy
income. Zoo's here reckon it costs around 400 pounds (700 US$) per
year just to keep a penguin in fish!

Finally, why would you want to keep penguins for yourself anyway? They
are much better left in the wild or in well looked after breeding
colonies in Zoos and Aquaria. Remember that nearly all species are
endangered to some extent or another.

We would strongly discourage anyone from trying to keep a penguin as a
pet - except the cuddly toy variety!

ETA: It is not legal to keep a penguin in canada anyways. Both native wildlife as well as exotic breeds require special licensing in order to keep.
