Will a circuit breaker trip easier after it's tripped once?

We just moved into a new home and I'm noticing that a couple of breakers seem to trip very easily. I know that they might have too much wired on some breakers. Some one told me that once a breaker trips, it is easier for it to trip again. Any truth to that?

Stackable Washer and Dryer AMP requirements questions?

"120V / 10 amp washer and 120V / 15 amp gas dryer"

I'm assuming you mean "electric dryer".

You'll probably trip the circuit breaker rather frequently if you use them both at once. The dryer will probably be pulling close to it's rated 15 Amps most of the time it's operating. The washing machine might not pull 10 Amps all the time. It might pull a lot less power during the wash cycle, and only max out during "spin". But that will trip your breaker.

You shouldn't plan on using both at once. This is something you can get used to.

By the way: 120V apartment dryers are quite slow. Mostly, you'll be waiting for the dryer to finish drying before you can empty the washer.

Our Kenmore oven stopped working but the stove top works?

Sounds to me like the element died in the middle of the warm up procedure. If you get no response whatsoever from the elements in the oven, yet the stove top is working fine, you'd best call a service tech to come check the oven over. It could be as simple as a wire having burnt off in the back, or it could be an element. Neither are terribly complicated, nor should they be very expensive.

Kenmore oven not working but stove does?

There normally is a fuse bank on electric stoves.
Sometimes they are located in the drawer below the oven, other times they are in the back guard.
If you call Sears Service the tech. will be able to tell you where the fuse bank is located.
However there may be more than a blown fuse in the stove. Something caused your circuit breaker to trip, so by all means check out the in stove fuses, but make sure the oven is OFF before you replace blown fuse, then if every thing looks OK, turn the oven on before you close the fuse bank on the stove.
If the breaker trips again you should call Sears Service to have one of their technicians inspect the stove.

Know anything about furnaces (limit circuit lockout)?

Should be an electrical switch on the side of the furnace. Turn the thermostat off and then turn the switch off and then back on. Then turn the thermostat back on. This may reset the system.
