Is lemon juice/concentrate bad to drink if u hav gout?
Fellow gout sufferer here. I've discovered that there's a ton of people out there that get gout and just are not sure what to do. What can I eat, what meds are there, how do I avoid this, what causes gout, etc. So here's my information that I've learned in 10 years of fighting gout, and I seem to be getting it under control. For the rest of your life, do these things: drink lots of water, 1 oz for every 2 lbs of body weight, each day. Once or twice a day, sip on 8 oz of water mixed with 1/2 tsp of baking soda. Helps the body be more alkaline (opposite of acidic) and get rid of uric acid. Take allopurinol every day. Very inexpensive and no side effects, you’ll need a script for this. Helps the body get rid of uric acid. Take celery seed pills. These may help the liver not to create so much uric acid. For diet, stay away from things that dehydrate the body, like beer and coffee. Don't eat organ meats, high fructose corn syrup. Eat lots of fruits and veggies, cottage cheese, sour cream, plain yogurt in smoothies mixed with orange juice and fruit. Drink fruit juices that are 100% juice, V8 Fusion is my favorite, it comes in many flavors. Educate yourself on foods that are high in purines, avoid these foods as the body turns purines into uric acid. Good luck to you!
Lemons or lemon juice concentrate for acne?
I'm trying to get rid of some post-inflammatory hyperpigmentation marks and I heard that lemons are very good for lightening. I wanted to know if only fresh lemons work or if bottled lemon juice concentrate would work too. I read somewhere that only real lemons work an the other doesn't, but then I read from other sources saying that they both work equally. I already bought the lemon juice concentrate before reading those so should I take it back or not?
Making lemonade from concentrated lemon juice?
We used to do that back in the day!! Ha! We didn't have much money when we started out. Just mix water, lemon juice, and sugar to the amounts you desire. Usually, 1.5 to 2 cups of sugar to every gallon of water. Drop in the lemon juice until you think it has enough flavor. Of course it's not as good as real lemonade.
Is drinking lemon juice from concentrate harmful?
I've always loved lemons since I was kid, but it's only recently that I've started drinking lemon juice from the bottle in little amounts. Is this harmful? As I also add salt to it too.
Can you use lemon juice from concentrate for acne scars?
yes it will but here are some other remedies which also removes acne and gives you glowing skin. Dry orange peels in sun. When they are fully dried, grind them in a mixture and make powder. Add raw milk to it, make a paste and apply it on your skin . Rinse it off with lukewarm water when dries. or •Take sandalwood powder, add lemon juice, tomato juice, cucumber juice to it, make a paste and apply on the skin till it dries to get a brighter, lighter and even skin tone. or •Gram flour has whitening agents to it. Take 2 spoonfuls of gram flour; add a pinch of turmeric to it, few drops of lemon juice and few drops of milk cream. Make it a paste and apply on the skin. When it dries scrub it off. It can be applied all over the body everyday. or •Soak almonds in water overnight. Peel them off in the morning. Make a paste and add honey to it. Apply it on face and scrub it off when dries. or •Potatoes have a glowing agent in them their juice is quite helpful in giving an even skin tone. Reduce pigmentation and blemishes. Is using lemon juice from concentrate in tea the same as squeezing real lemons in it?
Hey. Using concentrated lemon juice is definitely not the same as using real lemon juice. Concentrates are made by taking a fruit juice, heating it to a very high temperature and evaporating off the water. This leaves a thick syrup that's a small proportion of the original volume (as low as 12% with oranges). Of course, this makes it cheaper to ship (less weight). But that's not the end of it. When the drums of concentrated juice arrive at their destination, water is added back to restore the juice to its original volume. And weird things called 'add-backs' are added back to give the juice a 'fresh' aroma. Dodgy. everyone says that you can lighten your hair with lemon juice but I haven't heard anything regarding concentrated lemon juice... is that safe for your hair? does it still work the same?
What is the difference between pure lemon juice and lemon juice from concentrate?
Lemon juice concentrate is reduced lemon juice; so for example 100 ml of lemon juice may have 10 lemons. 100ml of concentrate will have 50, or more. They do this so it is cheaper to ship and store. When it is sent to a factory they add water and put it in cartons and sell it as 'Orange Juice; from concentrate, or whatever. Tropicana is made from fresh oranges so it hasn't been reduced and just added in the carton from fresh produce. Concentrate is seen as an inferior product in taste, but not in nutrients.
