Looking For A Caramel Candy With Milk Filling

Are there Caramilk bars in the U.S.?

Hi Michelle ~

Yes ... we sure do - only here we call it something different. The people above who mentioned the Cadbury "Caramello" bars were exactly right - only they weren't sure if it was the same. It is! Hershey Foods holds a license to manufacture CADBURY chocolate products in the United States. Hershey's uses the exact recipe from Cadbury, but because they are a different company they had to change the name. It is exactly as you described ... caramel pockets covered in milk chocolate and have been around for years and years.

I am really glad we have them ... YUM! I love the soft, sweet caramel in the middle. It has been one of my favorite candy bars since I was small. SO fear not ... if you ever come for a visit ... you will still be able to have a Caramilk bar ... better known here as "Caramello".

Here is a link so you can see the packaging ...

What candy bar do you find most delicious?

My favorites are Ferraro Rocher Garden Coconut.. Oh my word! White chocolate with coconut flakes around this wonderful white delicious ball of chocolate with a smooth subtle coconut liquid center! I could live off of these!Next would be Almond Joy. Continuing with the coconut theme, I feel it has   everything a perfect chocolate bar should have, smooth silky chocolate, almonds, and coconut. Last but not least, I love Godiva chocolate. Whenever I have the chance, I always get some when I'm in the United States! It's this smooth silky chocolate. My favorites are the milk chocolate and the caramel filled chocolate bars. I don't fancy the one in the picture, but I couldn't find a good seductive picture of the milk chocolate one. So enjoy!I really think Sanjay Sabnani should answer this question! :D

My boyfriend is looking for a recipe for hard caramel icing that his grandma used on homemade yellow cake.?

Love it but my Grandma used to put it on spice cake:

# Caramel Frosting
# 3 cups firmly packed brown sugar and pinch of salt
# 2 cups milk (can use evaporated milk a lot of cooks did in old times)
# 4 tablespoons (1/2 stick) butter
# 2 teaspoons vanilla extract

Frosting: Combine the brown sugar and milk in a large saucepan. Bring to a boil and cook, stirring frequently, to a soft-ball stage (about 234° to 238° on a candy thermometer). Remove from the heat, add the butter and vanilla, and beat at high speed until thick enough to spread as frosting. If the frosting becomes too thick, beat in a few drops of very hot water. Spread the caramel frosting over one layer of the cake, top with the other layer and cover the top and sides of the layers with the remaining frosting.

Does US have/sell Alpenliebe chocolate filled caramel candies?

Pack some back - mail them back something, but no, I have not seen any in a long while. Once in a while I can run across them at Cost Plus or World Market, but not often. Sometimes when in larger cities with a diverse ethnic background, I can find them there. Hawaii has them I know for sure.

Can I make caramel without cream or condensed milk?

Well I don't know what kind of caramel you are wanting to make. You can make the caramel sauce like the one on flan with just sugar and water.
Caramel
2/3 cup granulated sugar
1/3 cup water
A small heavy saucepan
Place sugar and water in saucepan and swirl (shake pan in a circular motion) over moderately high heat until the sugar is dissolved completely and the syrup turns a light nut brown.

Is caramel vegan?

Most homemade caramel sauces contain heavy cream, so no. A simple caramel sauce will most likely contain sugar, water, heavy cream and butter. As for caramel sauce in a bottle, it will most likely have milk included. Also, the bottles have many artificial ingredients and additives, so you need to read each one to make sure.In summary, not vegan. But you can make it vegan if you want to make your own caramel.

What candy notoriously pulls your dental fillings out of your teeth?

Any really sticky gooey toffee or candy that is hard and requires you to put a lot of pressure to break it down is likely to do thisYou have to keep in mind that a tooth with a filling is like comparing an unboiled egg to an boiled egg. The tooth is fragile and so will break easier than a real solid tooth. Also the filling generally is not “stuck “ to the tooth and can and does work it’s way loose over time.So a combination of a weak tooth and a loose filling of a material that does not actually stick to the tooth will cause the filling to work loose and come out over timeThe real question to be asking yourself is why am I still eating toffees when that’s what got me here in the first place?
