Looking For A Tablet While Computer Is Going In For Repair.

How do you repair laptops, tablets, phones when they have mostly proprietary and soldered components?

How do you repair laptops, tablets, phones when they have mostly proprietary and soldered components?I don’t remove individual capacitors from a motherboard, I replace the motherboard.I don’t try to remove chips from a controller board in a Mac, I replace the controller board.Every electronic device has removable parts, if you want to get down the level of repair that involves diagnosing individual capacitors and chips, you need very specialized equipment to find and fix problems. This hardware is expensive and takes up a lot of space, so unless you basically specialize in this level of repair, you just don’t have it.Most non-Mac laptops are easily serviced (soldered RAM is not the norm, nor is proprietary RAM).Macs are an absolute nightmare, especially the Air. I just tell people not to buy them. Replacing a screen involves a suction cup and a heat gun! Ugh.Tablets/phones are pretty easy to replace screens, but any other failure it’s usually just cheaper to toss it and get a new one.

I want to open a computer repair shop. What good advice do you have?

Our shop is currently in its fifth year and doing well. We've seen more than six shops open and close around us. Here are some things I learned along the way:- GET A CPA! (The tax liability is on them. It's worth it.)- Location is important! (Try to be on a main road)- Businesses are less work and more money. (Many tech's I know just work business contracts. Consider doing that instead.)- Time is money. (Getting work done quickly and not wasting time on overly-complicated systems will keep you afloat.)- Know your competition. (Don't open a shop in a location that already has enough support.)- Fixed rates build trust. (Have fixed rates for popular jobs like virus removal, your clients will appreciate it and the time averages out in the end.)- A shop costs. (It cost me ~$100,000 to get my shop to the point where I was making enough money to start paying back loans.)- Your first year (or two) will suck. (It takes time to establish a shop.)- Use bins! (I put all of my computers and their provided peripherals in large bins, my accidents were cut in half.)- Have a lawyer do a sign-in form a client has must fill out to leave their computer with you. - Use digital logs. (Paper notes are sloppy and filing them for future reference is nearly impossible to do well.)- This job is %75 customer service, maybe more. (Be presentable, keep your shop clean!)- If you don't have the money start smaller. (You can get clients and contracts to support you before you start getting huge loans for a shop.)- Don't forget other avenues of profit. (Selling gift-card, phone minutes, repairing tablets, selling used things on ebay, and many more!)- Don't sell refurbished systems at your shop. (Honestly it's more trouble than it's worth.)- Advertise. (It will take time to find out which advertisements work better for you but don't think Facebook and Yelp reviews are all you need.)Hopefully that helps!

Is it safe to open my computer up while it turned on?

ya its safe just dont remove cable I think it could shock you. I do it sometimes because sometimes my pc wont start with a certain cable in it and be careful if you do have to especially with the harddrive. But I dont think its a high chance and the worse that can happen is by accident you make a cable get disconnected

Bamboo tablet pen won't work?

I bought my bamboo tablet for a while ago and it worked fine, I had to repair my computer so everything disappeared from it so I wanted to install my bamboo thing again but this time the pen doesn't work. The tablet works because I can use it as mouse but the when I come with the pen to the tablet, all it does is light up with almost white light and nothing else happens. I've searched already on yahoo and google but can't find anything that would help. What can I do?

Is Ethernet Network Adapter Replaceable?

Well, long story short there was a huge power surge and it fried my network adapter and I cannot go online at all. My Ethernet cable detects when it is connected to my pc and the Ethernet wall port still works, as it was tested by using a USB Ethernet adapter on my tablet and was able to pick up a wired connection. I also got an error which states "Ethernet doesn t have a valid IP configuration". I also used that same USB Ethernet adapter to try to go online but still got that error message so the problem was inside my pc. I will likely need to replace my network interface card in my pc, but the problem is that the Ethernet port is attached to the motherboard like this:

Is it still able to be replaced, or Will I need to replace the entire motherboard, despite the rest of it working properly?

Will tablets replace smartphones?

NOOver the past couple of years sales of desktops, laptops, and tablets have gone down, but the speculations which were made about computers and laptops being replaced with tablets at the time of launch of the tablets was soon seen to be going wrong. So the expectations of tablets, replacing laptop and computers have been thoroughly rejected. Now comes the smartphone. The innovations in SoC, display (size and quality [amoled/retina, etc.]), rigidity of build (Gorilla Glass/sapphire glass) portability etc have given the upper hand to smartphone. So the basic reason is the innovations in Display and video performance has made smartphone a better choice. The phablets have come into existence and hence smartphone retained their spot due to customer demand and developer's

My tablet won't start?

Well, to restate the issue, my tablet won't start.
I have no clue why, it just stopped working. When it accidentally became unplugged, the screen turned off. It's happened before, and I have no clue why, but before I was able to just start it up again, or if it wouldn't start again right away, I would leave it for overnight and it would be working again in the morning.
It hasn't been working for three days now...
The start-up screen comes up, but that's all I get. So it's constantly telling me "Please be patient while the system starts" with the blue line going across the screen to say it's loading.
Please help! There's a lot on it, and I'm out of ideas. I even let it completely run out of battery then re-charged it, but that didn't do anything.
The idea that works gets a best answer!
