How do you play Minecraft on PS2?

Well, you don’t…The PlayStation 2 came out in March 2000, with Minecraft officially going public on PC on May 17, 2009. The game wasn’t released on consoles until December of 2013, and by then Sony had already released the PlayStation 4. The game was also released for PS3, since the PS4 had only came out a month prior. Unfortunately, by this time very few people were still using the PlayStation 2, and developing Minecraft for the PS2’s old software would have been a waste of money and time. If you do still have a PS2 almost 18 years past its release date, then consider getting a new console. A PS3 can be bought for around 150$–200$ USD and doesn’t require PlayStation Plus to play online. :)

Ps3 minecraft Lag?

My minecraft world on ps3 lags like crazy at one part of my map, Like 1/5 of my map, There used to be major redstone there, So I took it all out, And only left two redstone traps left, both involving Lava, Theres floating ice I recieved when I used my silk touch pickaxe, Idk if that affects anything but good to know. A huge quarry below that too. Also I built a huge fortress In the nether, Stores most of all my supplies, The nether portal is in the laggy part, So I destoyed that portal and whenever I want to go in there, I built a portal. Anyways, Theres a huge tower in my map where it lags too, There used to be redstone underground, In the sky, Most of it is all gone like I said, I completely took almost every thing out of that place, But I would love for it to be less laggy, Whenever I head over there, I lag, and sometimes if I click select over there, It freezes and on rare days. The only reason I want to be over there is cuz its a huge kingdom, Also Theres fire on nether rack But I dont think that affects anything, PLEASE Tell me why it lags so much, It feels like the redstone is still there, Like a ghost, Its all gone but it feels like the game thinks it there. Anyway, If you need to look at it, Contact me At
ps3: bsktbl or EvilDimension.
THANK YOU..
Also its a legit surival map so if you want to find a legit kingdom builder, Here I am

How to play minecraft on multiplayer ps3?

Whew, took some searching but found out. Unlike the PC version, the Xbox 360 and PS3 versions do NOT have dedicated servers. This means you have to connect to another player (like you do most console games, anyway), but for Minecraft they also have to be on your friends list. Apparently the PS4 and Xbone versions of the game will have dedicated servers, but those aren't due out for a while.

SO... You can either team up with friends who own the game, or you can go to the link in source, which is the Minecraft - PS3 Version forums (specifically the multiplayer board). It has topics full of PSN names that you can add, and they also contain descriptions of what that player is doing (or trying to do) with their server. So find one that's interesting and give it a whirl.

EDIT: The only thing that sucks here is that if that person goes offline, you can't play on their "server" any more. But it looks like some of these people are dedicated and just leave it running most of the day, anyway.
