What is the orientation process at McDonald's like?
I went for a job interview at McDonald’s. What I can tell anybody that reads this: every McDonald’s is different and some are even privately owned.For my McDonald’s orientation, I went to the McDonald’s at 10:00am, which by the way, was a different McDonald���s from the one I would be working at. Everyone in the room would be working at a different McDonald’s as me. They traveled thirty minutes just to get to this specific McDonald’s. Anyways, I went in and we all sat at the tables in the back of the restaurant until a manager called us into the back, where the office is located.We had to pass through the kitchen where all the workers were running around, preparing food. We went into this small office where you could barely fit 10 chairs and we all sat there facing each other. We were handed a folder filled with a few booklets. One of the booklets we went through with the manager; it was about cleanliness, what to wear, what not to wear, rules and guidelines to follow while working there if you want to keep your job.Then the manager just talked for an hour about what to expect, what work is expected, etc. After that, we signed papers. By the way, dress decent and bring your social security card. After signing the papers, we watched a three hour video (it was also filled with a series of questions we had to answer together as a team). We did that and then that was it. The video was over and done with and we left through the kitchen. We were told to take the papers we signed a bring them back to the store we would be working at and the general manager of our store would tell us what’s next. Also…the manager actually checked to make sure we were wearing the right shoes. My advice to you wear sneakers or flats or else you could be sent home. She was literally going to send home anybody with sandles.We didn’t learn about anything in the kitchen. We weren’t introduced to anything in the kitchen.That’s how my orientation went. Hope this gives you an idea.
Where do I go for McDonald's orientation?
I live in Toledo Ohio and they never told me where to go. Just what time. I have called and they won't return my call/pick up. Where do I go? I will be working at a sylvania McDonald's.
McDonald's Orientation?
I got a call from the McDonald's I interviewed with saying that I had orientation the next day. They told me what time it started and what to bring and that was it. I'm just wondering if orientation is held at the actual restaurant or if it's in a different location. Although they didn't mention a different address on the phone, I was reading up on orientation online and saw that some people's orientation was held in a separate building. Can anyone help me out?
What is McDonalds orientation like?
They walk you through the whole place then take you back to the employee meeting room. You sit there and they talk over everything you sign, it takes about an hour. Then you watch a video that's about 20 minutes long. You get your uniform and give them sizes for an extra shirt and pants. You also get your nametag.

The orientation is when they basically show you the restaurant and where you will be working. Dress code depends on whether you are moving into a management/supervisory position or cashier/cook. As far as orientation however I would suggest simply wear some nice Dockers pants perhaps a dark color and a nice cotton collared shirt short sleeve (tucked in). Wear some comfortable black shoes. If you know what the uniform colors are at Mc Donald's don't wear something way off. Remember it's an orientation so don't stress too much it's not like they are going to expect you to dress like them on the orientation unless they advised you to. Wear something nice like I advised and you will be fine as long as you don't go in with different colored shoes baggy clothes etc. This is for a male but for a female keep the same concept except wear clothes that fit you nothing too revealing pants and shirt are perfect for the orientation.
Do you get paid during orientation at McDonald's?
Yes they have a meeting where they give you your uniform and discuss Mc Donald’s history, most popular food items , and give you fries to taste. I enjoyed working there the first month, but it is too much of a grind. You need to work hard and fast and it helps to be in good shape. They give you free food and drink but don’t fall into the trap of eating McD’s everyday. You will regret it.
At mcdonalds orientation should i bring my parent?
So I'm 16 and mcdonalds will be my first job.(don't judge me I need job experience). I got a call saying that I got that job and I'll need to go in for orientation tomorrow morning. What's orientation like? Will I be doing a lot of work? If I will be doing a lot of paperwork should my parent be with me for any paper work related issues?

The orientation is where you sign all the papers and go over some basic policies, such as how much jewelry you are allowed to wear, if relationships between crew members are allowed, etc. It may be in a group or it might just be you. As for clothes, you don't need to wear anything specific. Look presentable, but you don't need to wear anything too formal. Jeans and a nicer top is fine. As for shoes, I'd stick to close toed just in case they give you a tour of the kitchen. The orientation can take anywhere from 1-2 hours, depending on how many people there are. The more people there are, the longer it is to fill out all the paper work. McDonald's is a pretty good job. It can sometimes be stressful especially when you are new, but you'll catch on really quickly. My store doesn't have a drive through, so I'm not sure if there is a specific name for that, but if they told you front, you won't be working in the kitchen. You'll either work as a cashier, a runner (assembling orders), in the lobby (cleaning), or on fries. Of course you won't always be doing the same things and sometimes you might have to do more than one of these things either at the same time or over the course of a shift. What happens during Mcdonalds orientation?
Dress in a respectful, business like manner. It will, most likely be the last time you WON'T be wearing your uniform. Bring your ID & Social Security cards. You will fill out paperwork and learn about the Company or franchisee, safety, sexual harassment, rules and regulations, disciplinary action,.....everything you need to know as a worker. Normally you will start working right away, sometimes that day. Most all employers have a 90 day probation period and just show up a little early, learn & don't complain, they are paying people to do things THEIR way, remember that. Check out how the other employees act. Don't try to become part of the social group if there is one, too fast. Let things happen naturally.
I MISSED MY JOB ORIENTATION AT MCDONALDS?
I missed my job orientation on last tuesday. i called today and the Hiring manager told me i missed it and told me to come in tomorrow for orientaion from 3-5. Im so embarassed and i dont know what to do did i ruin my chances with this job? im so scared and paranoid i really need this job.
