If not, you will need to replace the hard drive in your computer.This error represents a hard drive failure.Try the steps below to see if they will fix the hard drive. Insert your Windows OS disk into your cd/dvd drive As the machine boots up - it should have an option to hit F2 or F12.Hit the F12 key This will give you the option of where to boot your machine from.Select boot from CD/DVD drive Windows will load some files and gave me an option to either install windows or repair. Select Repair and It may ask for the admin password -- type it in. It will then bring you to a command prompt : Type in CHKDSK or Type in CHKDSK/R Hit the ENTER key Once your machine has finished and repairing the hard drive, type EXIT and press ENTER to restart your laptop. most xp drivers are not compatible with windows 7, hence the BSOD Go to ATI and see if there are win7 drivers, if not try Vista drivers which usually work with win7
Blue screen of death windows 7?
So back in May i did my first complete PC build, and has worked great ever since, up until last week. Over the past week, i've received about 2-3 blue screen errors PER DAY! I'm not quite sure what is causing the issue, as everything i bought was brand new, and as far as i know, all drivers are up to date. The error message on the blue screen is as follows: Technical Information: *** STOP: 0x00000124 (0x0000000000000000, 0xFFFFFA8008A28028, 0x00000000BE00000, 0x000000000005110A) Im not sure if anyone can decipher what that means or where the problem is coming from. BSOD (The blue screen of death) basically means your pc is crashed or is in a serious critical error. so though you didnt state what error code is we cant really tell you why it is causing that msg to appear... error code is ex: xxxxx-000099909xx990 something like tht... repost and we can tell u... sorry about the problem wish i could do more to help...
