Mesuda Method Not Working

Masuda method not working? (Pokemon x and y)?

I've been hatching larvitar for a shiny and I'm at 936 eggs and still no luck, I'm using a jap. Pupitar and my larvitar (holding everstone) am I doing anything wrong?

How does the Masuda Method work in Pokemon?

So I have collected tons of Pokemon from different countries through Wonder Trade. I wanted to start breeding Pokemon using the Masuda Method while breeding for IV's and nature's as well. From what i understand it has to be Pokemon from two different languages/countries. So can i breed a Pokemon from Japan with a Pokemon i caught (from USA) or should i use a Pokemon from Japan and another from somewhere like Germany instead?

Will masuda method work with a Spanish Ditto?

As long as one of the pokemon used in breeding is foreign, the masuda method will work. If you live in Spain/Mexico, it's not going to work, but I'm pretty sure you live in America. Your ditto could even be American and the other parent could be foreign. That would work too, but foreign ditto is the easiest way because you can stick with one pokemon to masuda a whole bunch of different pokemon :3

Hope this helps :)

The Masuda Method in the GBA Pokemon games?

Today, the FireRed game I ordered came in the mail (it was from China). I know about the Masuda method, but I'm not sure if it would work for me since the game is in English? Would it still count as foreign? Can anyone help me out? :(

In pokemon y, does the masuda method work with a ditto from france and I use a US pokemon?

Masuda's Method works in that it boosts the chance of hatching a shiny Pokemon is one parent is native to the game you're playing (as in your OT, your Player ID, and your Secret ID) and a Pokemon from a foreign region (Japan, France, UK, etc etc).

Using two foreign Pokemon WILL NOT WORK. Only applies to one native and one foreign Pokemon. I'd also suggest getting a Native Ditto so you can breed foreign Pokemon, and use the French Ditto to breed native shiny Pokemon.

ORAS Shiny Charm Not Working?

Got the shiny charm and hatched 1,500 eggs in search for a shiny Spiritomb with no luck. My friend hatches 250 eggs and get TWO shinies. I ve been doing a combination of MM, Dex Nav, and horde hunting for the past three weeks without seeing a single one. I m beginning to think that my game is glitched or something.

Using the Masuda method, what is your average amount of eggs it takes to get a shiny Pokemon?

Personal Answer:I’ve done it exactly once - Masuda without the Shiny charm - and got it after upwards of 1000 eggs. I stopped counting after 500, and it took about twice that playtime in total to finally get it.Totally worth it.Real Answer:Shorthanding this from Bulbapedia here. The base chance is 1/4096 for simply encountering a wild pokemon, and increased chances add some multiple of 1/4096 - in essence, it “tries” to roll a shiny additional times. Masuda method adds 5 tries (+5/4069), and a shiny charm adds another 2 tries (+2/4096). Since “average amount of tries” is just the inverse of the probability…Base4096/1 = 4096 eggsShiny Charm4096/3 = 1365 eggsMasuda4096/6 = 683 eggsMasuda+Shiny Charm4096/8 = 512 eggsTake the number for whichever case applies to you, then add about half of that number again when you remember RNG is a spiteful being that wishes nothing but grief upon you.If you don’t care about egg moves or stats, just SOS chain it, for your sanity. The chance only goes up to 1 in 1024 at max, but the rate at which pokemon “call for help” tends to be much faster than retrieving and hatching batches of eggs. Pick your poison, and good luck either way!

Pokemon White Masuda Method Question?

Ok, so I know what the Masuda Method is, and I've been trying to hatch a shiny Scyther for a while now. I've hatched 1,292 eggs in total, and still no luck.

I have a Japanese Ditto and a French Scyther in the Day Care on my American Pokemon White cartridge. Is it alright for BOTH of the parents to be from 2 different countries other than my cartridge, or does at least ONE of the parents have to be from America?

I'm a bit worried about that seeming as how its a 1/1,366 chance and I've already hatched 1,292 eggs with no result. I know that it's possible to NOT get a shiny within 1,366 eggs, but I just want to make sure that it's fine to have BOTH foreign parents.

Also, I switched out the American Ditto I had in the Day Care with the Japanese Ditto that's in there now about 300 eggs in the process. Does that reset my chances or what?

Will the french pikachu work with the masuda method in pokemon heart gold?

I completed the game and im thinking that the french pikachu that Lt.Surge traded me will work with my english pikachu to get a shiny pichu. Will it increase my chances of shiny pichu and work right?
