Why isn't mineshafter launching minecraft?
it loads to 100%, then it just doesn't start the game. the launcher doesn't go away, either, and it's responding, because i can move it around and all that, but minecraft won't start. can someone please tell me how?

Why are you making a mod pack the hard way? The best way to compile a mod pack is to use a ModPack Launcher such as the ATLauncher or FTB Launcher. They allow you to install vanilla Minecraft with Forge so you can then easily install and manage your mods. Then simply download the mods you want and use the launcher to add it to your mod pack, plus you get a nice console to look out for any errors that may occur.
How do I stop Minecraft from going full screen when it launches?
Thanks, Lenyung. But first it shows the Mojang logo, then goes full screen, leaving me with a black screen. Pressing F11 doesn't work either. I think it's something with the display, because the game still runs. I know because I can hear the music that always plays at the title screen.

I'm trying to mod my minecraft and I want to download forge modloader. I'm still new to minecraft and I'm completely confused as to how everyone has and "edit profile" button on the minecraft launch screen, but I don't. Help?
Why does my Minecraft PE keeps on crashing?
There can be varying reasons, BUT(Reason 1) Your device may be too old to support the game, or if you have a cheaper device (Nothing wrong with that, we all need to budget somewhere) You may not have the specifications to run the game. To run the game on a mobile device or tablet you most likely want to have at least 2GB of ram for a smooth experience, but you can probably get away with something like 1.5GB of ram. Your processor on the device should also be newer than 2013, to run the game smoothly, Most newer devices CAN run pocket edition. You also need to have at least 350mb or so for the game, and maybe more. ( That can depend on how many worlds you have and how much you explore on them and what you do)The game used to be easier to run, but as there has been updates to the game it has gotten larger and harder to run.(Reason 2) Maybe your graphics settings are to high for your device, and your device is getting worked up, perhaps try to lower them and see if that makes a change to your playing experience.(Reason 3) - [Question first] where you able to play the game previously? and/or did it recently update?If you where able to play the game recently maybe your device had an update, in which sometimes can mess up things like this. You can also try to reinstall the game if you have no luck with the previous reasons. Also if it was recently updated maybe try going back to a previous version.(Reason 4) Sometimes Pirated versions of the game crash and do not work, If this is the reason why, I would suggest actually buying the game..And if your really passionate, eventually save up for a new device ;)Good Luck!
New minecraft launcher won't let me type e-mail or password?
The news doesn't display either. I need this to work because even though I was using magic launcher before, the latest one won't launch for me, which is why I got it in the first place! The vanilla launcher does the same thing! It causes my computer to be slow to respond, then creates an instance of Java on the taskbar that I can only close... I've tried EVERYTHING to make this work... uninstalled and reinstalled minecraft (the only way I managed to install was through the browser) updated graphics drivers, uninstalled/reinstalled Java (64 bit), I don't know what else to do, I'm about ready to hurt people
Why can't I join on LAN with my brother in Minecraft?
If your brother has a world running and you can't join, try the following things.-Make sure you and your brother are on the same wireless network.(I'm not sure if this is the problem if you are playing on Mac, but it worked when I was playing my Kindle Fire)-Make sure he has “Open to LAN" turned on.-Make sure you and your brother are running the same version.(I'm not sure if this is actually required, but it might help)-Maybe try shutting down Minecraft then opening it again.If you have tried all of these methods and are still having problems, try contacting Minecraft's support
Whenever I try to open minecraft it says "not responding" and does not work. Is there something I can do about this or is it just my computer?
I'm assuming it says not responding and then crashes. It could be a number of things. If you can give me your PC specs and tell me if the Minecraft crashes in its own without you touching it, I might be able to help more. For basic trouble shooting, make sure you have java installed, preferably 64-bit, allocate more ram, make sure your permissions are allowing Minecraft to run, and finally, install the mincraft.exe from Mojang again run it and select repair. Its most likely something simple on your PC and not Minecraft.
Why won’t my laptop run Minecraft past 30fps, when I know for a fact it is capable of running at higher frame rates?
There can be several problems.Minecraft is using the incorrect GPU (video graphics card), if you have more than one. 30 FPS sounds like a high-end Intel GPU is being used. Pressing F3 will show which GPU Minecraft is using. If you have a more powerful GPU (ie, NVidia), you may switch Minecraft.exe and Java to run on your more powerful card through the card’s options. You can usually get to those options by right-clicking the desktop.You have a 4k monitor. This one hit me when I first got a 4k laptop. The graphics were so smooth- but at the same time, my FPS was right around the 30 mark when it is capable of over 200. Unfortunately, I have found no way to solve this except to set my monitor’s resolution to 1920x1080 or 1920x1200. This will make MC run at the “normal” resolution. This will make your MC slightly uglier.You don’t have Optifine! Optifine is a special mod for both modded and unmodded Minecraft which can greatly boost your FPS and enhance the graphics. You will have to fiddle with the graphics options to figure out your ideal quality to performance balance. Users report boosts of up to 60 FPS over their original FPS, depending on their GPU and graphics card. It also increases chunk load rates and makes your FPS more stable.
