My 2 Monthed Pomeranion Is Biting Alot Whenever I Even Touch Her

Why does my Pomeranian puppy continuously want to play rough with me (biting)?

My puppy is a 3 1/2 month old black pomeranian. He's only 2.8 lbs, small for a pom. I've had him for 1 week and 2 days. Anyway he's fullllllllll of energy! Which is good and totally expected, but in the past few days I've noticed a shift in his behavior. He needs to be played with constantly, I can't even go to the bathroom for like 2 minutes without him whining/barking. (I know puppies require loads of care/attention and I was/am fully aware of that and totally fine w/it. I love my lil guy!) I love playing with him but recently he has become extremely demanding and when I try to play with him he only seems to be interested in biting me (playfully, although sometimes a little too hard lol) and playing with my hands, arms and legs. He has plenty of toys that he used to love but seems to show increasingly less interest in them and more interest in my limbs. I also understand that puppies bite/nip when they play and it's totally normal, but what I am wondering about is why he is so obsessed with my arms, hands and legs, and how I can gradually break him of this.

My Pom is very snappy, he hates his neck being touched and having baths. What to do? Help plz! :(?

His name is Cujo, he's a little tan Pomeranian that's 9 months old and he's very snappy and doesn't like to be touched in certain places. (His neck, his tail, sometimes his legs.) He growls and tries to bite you if you do. So bathing him is a problem, as is walking. He freaks out having a collar on and being on a leash. Once you put them on he runs away and hides under a bed, growling viciously if you try to touch him. & with bathing he whines, growls, and bites you. It's hard to do anything with this puppy! You have to pick him up carefully so that he doesn't bite you, he won't let anyone walk him, it's hard to groom, and he's just straight up nasty most of the time. He also bothers our other dog constantly.. I don't know what to do with him. Our other Pom was nothing like this. Please help?! :(

My Pomeranian is acting mean and selfish? Why?

My female pom is five months old. She gets a lot of love and attention. I discipline her whenever she acts poorly. We have four other Poms that live in the house. 2 are the mom and dad, and 2 are her brothers. My pom (Cookie) is the meanest at times. She always steals the other dogs bones and toys just to have them. She gets very angry when the others try to get them back, or get near her when she has any kind of toy or treat near her. We discipline her when she does this, but she continues. When she plays with the other pups, she sometimes can just turn from play mode into mean and start growling and will bite the other dogs. Today, she caused one of them to bleed from the mouth. Please don't tell me I let her do whatever she wants because I don't. I always get onto her when she does this, she gets punished and is put in her kennel when she acts this way. I'm not sure if it's a puppy thing she will grow out of or I need to do something differently. Any tips? Thanks!

Pomeranian that hates to take a bath?

The next time you give your pomeranian a bath first put a cotton ball in each ear so you don't get water in his ears which is why he does the "fish" thing. He's trying to get the water out. Make sure the water is no too warm or not too cold. Test it like you would with a bottle of baby formula. I would wash and rinse him from the neck back and do the head with a wet rag with a tiny dot of soap on it and then rinse the rag thoroughly to get the soap out of the rag and wipe his head with water. I would blowdry his coat dry but make sure it is not too hot and keep it well away from his body so he doesn't get burned. Hopefully this will help with bath time.

Help! My Pomeranian may have fractured his little leg?!?

I think he should be fine. I have a Pom too who's always jumping about the place. If you twist your ankle you will definitely limp, right? That doesn't mean it's broken. He's just bruised / soar. You pretty much described the normal amount of time it will take for his swelling to flare up. Just keep monitoring him, add some ice to his leg and smoothly, ever so gently, rub one finger along the hairs on his leg. This will let him know that you understand that he has pain there and he will give you his leg to examine as if you're his Dr. My Pom pulled a basket of clothes on top of himself as I was folding my laundery. He screeched so I dropped everything, leaped to him held him close to my chest and rocked him like a baby. I then laid him on the floor and gave him a nice massage and he was asleep within a minute. He loved it. Now if he get's stuck somewhere or gets scared of a noise, he always runs to me for the same pampering. Just use this as a bonding time with your pup. He will realize that you're there to protect him and and will allow you to fully analyze his leg.

I definitely dont think it's broken though. It would have been apparent when the vet first examined him. Just try to keep him off his feet and pamper him. Don't make him run after you either for a few days. The soarness will pass. If this persists for more than a few days (5 - 7) please bring him in for an X-ray as it really is important. Did you check out your local Petco? Most of them offer vetrinary services as well and is extremely affordable. I don't think they do X-rays there but I'm sure they can recommend a few inexpensive clinics. Good luck to you.

Aggressive Pomeranian/Chihuahua mix?

I have a 1 year old Pomeranian/Chihuahua mix and hes been getting more and more aggressive as time passes.
I got him when he was 2 months old and at first he was sad like all dogs usually are when going to a new home but then as he got more comfortable he started to show his aggression, first it was towards strangers and dogs but then it started turning towards my sister and now me at times.
I asked my friend if any of the other dogs were like him.
She told me that his mother has a bad temper and even in the first 2 months of his life he always kept to himself and was aggressive towards his siblings.
Is there any way to help him and what could be the causes to his aggression.

And here's some more about him if it helps.
- He's the first born
- He only has one testicle which we are going to get removed.
- He had a pretty bad fall but everything was fine with him afterwards.

I can't seem to get the fleas off my 2 yr old Pomeranian. I am considering shaving him.?

There are a few poms in my group class...they have always been shaved down during the summer, and the coat has grown out with no problem.
Shaving down will allow you to groom more easily, see the flea dirt AND if you are using something like frontline or advantix, you are supposed to draw a line with it down the spine to the base of the tail and the spout should touch the skin. If you have not succesfully used this in the past, you may not have been getting down to the skin. In these types of flea repellent, the drops are absorbed by the skin...that is how it works. I am often hiking with my dog in flea/tick areas and I have NEVER had a problem. Once a month treatments...many people do year round, I do April to November. What I would recommend is to have your animals groomed and dipped...use the frontline or advantix. DON:"T BRING THEM HOME. Get a professional exterminator to treat the house and yard. Make sure they come back 3 weeks later to do a second round...to get anything that may have survived the first round. And then thoroughly wash your bedding, pillows, anythiing the exterminator suggests that fleas can hide....Honestly, that should do it. If you have been trying to do things yourself...it is not working. collars don't work, powders and sprays are not meant for an infestation, just for the occasional thing you see...maybe the drops you have been using aren't being applied to the skin, or maybe it is one of the cheaper brands that don't work as well. Time to do the professional thing...good luck.
