How do I help my ex, who is also my best friend, move on from me?
I recently went through this situation with my ex . Him and I dated for awhile and we were really close, but at some point during our relationship I realized that I no longer had romantic feelings for him . We broke up but he still has strong feelings for me . At first I tried being nice, answering his calls when he called , texting him back constantly and so on . In my mind I was doing this because I thought that in order to help him get over me , he had to see I will always be there for him . But someone told me something very important, the person told me , “the minute you decided to date your best friend , he moved to a different category, meaning if you break up that best friend rule doesn’t apply. You can’t be best friends with your ex because someone will end up getting hurt .”Moral of the story is , it isn’t your job to help your ex get over you . That’s their job , trying to that won’t benefit you in any way. The best way you can help them is to cut that person off completely and give them time to heal and find themselves.
My best friend is moving away?!?
A few months ago my very best friend moved away. It was heartbreaking for the both of us and I felt like my world was crashing down around me.. She was and will always be the closest person to me. I thought that goodbye meant the end.. but it didn't.. the distance made our friendship stronger, we text all day everyday and continue to tell each other everything. We count down the days until our next visit and when we do see each other its like nothing has even changed.. We talk so much we don't have anything to catch up on and we just do the things we used to do and we are so happy. I recommend staying in touch, you'd be surprised at how easy it is to stay close over distance.. No one will ever take her place in your heart or your place in hers. Before we moved we spent a week together just the two of us and we tried not to think about her leaving and instead focused on having the best time together when she was here. We have also have a lot of songs we listen to when we are missing the other really bad.. try and have a going away song.. some good ones are: See you when I see you - jason aldean, no place that far - sarah evans, i won't let go - rascall flatts, counting down the days - natalie imbruglia, my old friend - tim mcgraw, think of me - dear john soundtrack.. Distance will never separate two hearts that really care, and when you are really missing her, remember how lucky you are to have something that great to miss. Best of luck.

I'm not sure if this would help or not, but my parents have moved me like 4x in the past year. EVERY 4 MONTHES!!!! so it is normal to cry becuz she's moving (i do every time i go to a new skl) and it's hard leaving a friend/friends. TRUST ME!!! But things will get better. U can still e-mail her. But u WILL get over it. all u gotta do is give it more time. If u need any more advice or just someone to talk to u can e-mail me cuz i've been thru it all TRUST ME!!!! My best friend is moving away...what gift do I get her?
Ok, well so many things have been going wrong in my life, and I just found out today that my best friend is moving away. I've only known her 9 months, but I really like her as a friend, and I wanted something more if possible. This isn't the point though...she is going to be leaving soon. What do I get her? I want to get her a going away gift. Any ideas? Get me started. Something she can remember me by...we had so many plans this summer, but now they are dead...I'm so sad right now, and I'm trying to help her through this but its hard. What can I get her so she will remember me, and so she will know that I will always care about her? We are both in college btw. She is struggling with this, and I am trying to help her so much, but it has been so hard, but I will never give up on her.
How do I help my friend who's parent is moving away?
Try to make him relax for a minute then tell him/her to make an album of pictures before they go. The pictures contain memorable memory of his/her parent before they go.

honestly you can't really do much just be by his side and i've had that kind of thing happen to me before but that kind of thing just happens i know this won't help much but it will get better it just takes time. also life goes on he just needs to think positive after all they may can still talk to each other but it will be hard just know life goes on.
