My Rat Is Pregnant Acting Strange

My pregnant cat is acting really strange?

I think you are right to confine her to one room and just check on her. If the bathroom is clean, dry, warm and can be kept private then it will do fine as a place to have the kittens. I agree it would be good to provide her with a nest. A big cardboard box with a hole cut in the side towards the top and a towel in the bottom works well. It's a good idea to provide a couple: birth is messy so she'll quite likely need to move soon after.

Here's a link which should give you some ideas of what to expect and when to call help: http://www.2ndchance.info/felinelabor.ht...

Personally I think I'd give my vet a ring to talk about her behaviour. Hopefully it's just hormones, but if she is showing any real signs of labour and it's not progressing then you definitely need to take her to the vet.

One possibility: you said she attacked as you left the bathroom: I am wondering if possibly she didn't want you to leave? Just raising it, but I'd guess she probably is better being given somewhere quiet and secure to get on with it.

My cat is pregnant and acting strange?

You need to kick the husband out in the weather, and see how he likes it !!! When a cat suddenly stops using their litter box, it's usually ( most likely ) a sign of a urinary "problem".......and kicking a sick animal out of the house is CRUEL..!! She's probably trying to tell you that she needs to go to the "doctor" !!

Also, you didn't describe the litter box! Is it cleaned twice every day? Is it in a place where the dog can't bother her while she's using it? Is it covered? Is it large enough to turn around & cover her poop/pee without stepping in the mess? All of these COULD be reasons why she stopped using it, IF she doesn't have a urinary problem!!

When you take her to the vet, tomorrow, have him ( her ) run a urinalysis & fecal tests on your poor baby. If she has a problem that is unrelated to her pregnancy OR the time out in the weather, you'll have a treatment, and should be able to bring her back inside. Do NOT forget to tell the vet what your husband's "solution" to this has been!!

If she loses her kittens, you can probably blame it on HIM.......and if she does, go ahead and have her spayed, so you ( and she ) don't have to go through this again.......Also, clean her litter box really well, and put FRESH litter in it.....

I think the reason she's "avoiding you" is because you LET your husband toss her out......It may take her awhile to begin to trust you again......and, probably never will trust your husband!

Hope you get some news that she can be treated & returned to the comfort of her home........Good luck........

My pregnant cat is acting STRANGE?

it is somewhat everyday habit, she is putting up her defenses. I easily have a cat that acts like that as quickly as she is pregnant and she or he's worse whilst she has a muddle. save the newborn cat remote from her fairly after the muddle is born. positioned mama and the youngsters in a private room the place a door may be close and the newborn won't flow. whilst my cat had her muddle, the father got here into the bathing room only to place down and she or he concept he became going to take her infants and she or he attacked him and then me because of the fact i became attempting to break up the combat. possibly the habit will end whilst the youngsters are born , it is annoying to assert. only take any precaution you could.

Pregnant and cat acting weird?

Since about the last month of my pregnancy my cat has been acting very strange. When I go to lay down, he will either lay behind my pillow or at my feet. This is not unusual as I have had him through out the pregnancy. I'm now 38 and a half weeks and he has been meowing very territorially at my when behind my pillow, he will literally walk up to the back of my head and give out this horrid meow. Then sometimes he will cuddle up next to me and if I pet him (try to anyways) he will give me the same meow and sometimes even give me a light bite, usually not enough to hurt. He won't leave my side much, he is usually within 5-10 feet of me and has made it clear that he prefers me over my partner. Why is he acting like this? Is there anything I can do to get him to stop doing that horrible meow? I'm afraid to even hold him as I know when he is about to give me gut wrenching meow because his eyes are fully dilated.

My mom is pregnant, and acting weird?

Don't be concerned, she's not acting weirdly at all.

When she was btw 3-6 months pregnant, she was probably feeling really tired and irritable, hence her not feeling like being touched at all. She's now past that stage, and may be feeling a little bad about pushing you away, so she's trying to make up for it. She's probably also starting to feel really excited and looking forward to the birth, so she's sharing it with everyone. It sounds like you are her only other child, so she might also be going out of her way now to include you, and making an attempt to show you a lot of affection, just so that you don't feel left out, especially after the baby is born and she needs to concentrate on it completely for a while.

Seeing as the dad is out of the picture, she's also probably feeling a little lonely and vulnerable by now, even if he was a prick, so she's seeking affection (via cuddling) with the person she is closest to and trusts the most, ie YOU.

If you don't mind any of this, then just relax and go with the flow, enjoy it and be happy that you are helping your mother and new sibling by being part of a happy, healthy family who love each other.

My Pregnant Dog is acting weird?

Why not call the expert Mentor (you know, the breeder of Champion Dogs that you consulted with prior to breeding) ?

!!! ** ??? ** !!!

Don't know what I'm talking about?

Big Surprise Here.

***Sigh***

Call the vet, and while you're at it, make a future appointment to spay the dog.

(Waiting for the return rant about how it was all a HUGE accident, blah blah blah)

(Or how the dog is so CUTE and WELL BEHAVED and therefore...blah blah blah)

(Or how your Mom/Aunt/Sister/Cousin knows how to BREAD dogs and therefore...blah blah blah)

My guinea pig is pregnant and acting weird.?

Yes,it does sound like she close to giving birth.First word of advice-if her cage mate is male, remove him from the cage asap...or he could possibly hurt one of the babies.Males are VERY territorial and might not take too kindly to them.
Most guinea pigs deliver in the middle of the night,so if you happen to be awake when she does deliver, try and be there to help her.Make sure she had a nice, clean environment and plenty of food and fresh water. She also might need assistance in cleaning the babies off-you can very gently pick them up and wipe them with a warm, wet washcloth if she cannot do it herself.
Bye-the-way,is this the first time your piggie has given birth? Because mine did a few years back and I knew nothing about how to care for the infants at the time, and found myself frantically calling my vet for advice. The babies will need to nurse, but will also eat pellets and hay within a few hours after being born,so make sure to have plenty of food on hand.Best of luck to the new mama!

My girl friend is pregnant and acting weird as if she hiding something from me?

Are there any real reasons you are feeling this way or simply because she is acting weird? Did you ever suspect her of cheating previously? She could be acting not normal because of hormones, the stress of having a baby actually hitting her - she's coming to terms with the fact that this baby IS coming and is going to demand a lot from her. Perhaps she feels not as connected with you as she used to and that is making her feel distant. There could be any number of things. I suggest saying to her 'I noticed you are really pulling away from me lately, could we talk about what's bothering you? and then you can also share some of your concerns with her... without accusing her of anything or she'll merely get defensive and not open up. You are both facing a major life change hon and it hits women before men sometimes...
