Need Help Im New Salesmen

I need help remembering a Death of A Salesman quote?

I don't know if you mean this part:
WILLY: (as Charley takes out his wallet) The Supreme Court! And he didn't even mention it!
CHARLEY: (counting out money on the desk) He don't have to - he's gonna do it.

The quote shows that Bernard doesn't need to brag because he is successful.

Can i ask for a new car salesman?

I went to a Hyundai dealer and I must have met the pushiest salesperson around. All I wanted to do was see if I could fit in a car (which I told him right away) and next thing, he is asking me to fill out information.

Recognizing this was not a good salesman I left. But, I really liked how cheap these cars are and how they get good gas millage. So is it possible to go to the dealer, and request a new salesman if he happens to recognize me?

I plan on trying another Hyundai dealer, it's just this one is really close to me.

Thanks

Help with Death of a Salesman Quote?

http://www.sparknotes.com/lit/salesman/q... :
Charley’s speech in the requiem about the nature of the salesman’s dreams eulogizes Willy as a victim of his difficult profession. His poetic assessment of sales defends Willy’s death, attributing to Willy’s work the sort of mythic quality that Willy himself always envisioned about it. Charley likens the salesman to a heroic, courageous sailor, “out there in the blue,” with nothing to guide him and powerful forces against which to contend. Charley also points out the great disparity between the enormity of the salesman’s task and the piddling tools with which he is equipped: Willy had only the insubstantial smile on his face and shine of his shoe with which to sell himself. Failure faded Willy’s smile and smudged his shoe, which made it even more difficult to sell himself. Lacking confidence in his image and thus “finished” psychologically, Willy still had to go out and give it his best, because “a salesman is got to dream.” Charley’s sympathy reveals itself in this remark—he understands that Willy didn’t simply feel compelled to sell; rather, Willy failed even to recognize that he had any choice in life.

Can I ask for a different salesman to help me in a car dealership if I feel uncomfortable with the first one?

You most certainly can request a different person to work with. If you don’t feel comfortable, then you can simply explain that to the person. Salesmen are professional and will understand. You can say something like, “Excuse me, I feel like we are not on the same page, and I was wondering if you could find another salesperson for me to work with. Please don’t think that I don’t like you personally, but I would simply prefer to work with someone else that I feel comfortable with.”They may be thinking the same thing, and have someone else in mind that you would get along with.I can tell you that in the many years that I have sold cars, I have had other salesmen and saleswomen, come up to me and ask if I would be willing to assist the customer that they are with, simply because they don’t gel. I have also been on the receiving end of a customer asking and I have also asked the customer if they would prefer to work with someone else. I do remember one time I asked an older lady if she would prefer to work with someone else. She had a puzzling, look on her face, so I simply said that I felt like she didn’t like working with me and if she would prefer, I would gladly find another salesperson for her to work with. She apologized and said she was thinking about other things that had happened earlier that day, and from that moment on, she changed her attitude and was more focused on buying a car.And don’t worry about hurting the persons feelings, because most of the time, in all honesty, as long as the customer is happy with the dealership, we all win. And don’t feel bad about the salesperson not making a sale and earning a commission, because all of that is worked out in a professional manner behind the scenes.Think about it like this, we don’t want to work with someone that is uncomfortable, because it can also make us uncomfortable, and sometimes no one wins in this sort of situation.I’ve also had a customer tell me that they didn’t like working with the sales manager that came out to the table to help close the deal, and I simply let him know and got another manager to assist. In the end, we are all human, and understand that we don’t always get along with every person in the world, no matter how great we think we are… So communication is the best thing. Just be honest and nice about it, and I’m sure they will get someone to help.

Should you tip a car salesman for helping you through the process?

I'm looking at buying my first car and I remember that my dad always tipped the salesman. One man responded by saying the reason my father got respect was because he gave respect. Was this his personal thing or does anyone else do it?
