i think it's mean more if u write something on your own. i did the same 4 my bf wen he rapped, it was r thing 4 a while lol. no but 4real put stuff in there so that he knooows it came from you. even if its simple he'll b happy it came from u. i'd help u but idk anything abt u or ur relationship. what helped me, i would write down what i wanted to say or what i was thinking, &then you rewrite it so it rhymes.

I enjoy writing rap lyrics, but I cant freestyle. Can I still be considered a rapper?
Yes you can. good free styling is a gift. and one that you don't necessarily have to have to be a rapper. One famous rapper who cannot freestyle, and always spits writtens is Drake (of course who they were written by is questionable). I wish more peopl wrote instead freestyle actually because a lot of people who freestlye really suck badly, and it seems unless your gifted, you can write rhymes better when you sit down and write lyrics rhyme for rhyme, taking your time. However if you want to learn how to freestyle, you can with practice. I have been rapping since I was 14, and up until the time I was about 21, I couldn't freestyle a lick, but was always known as a very good admirable rapper because of great penmanship and lyrical domination with the pen and a paper. I've even dropped a couple mixtapes with nothing but written lyrics (YouTube. Young Turp - The Warm Up) Now I'm 24 and can freestyle any time on the spot. This came from practicing and not backing down when everybody in the circle was free styling on the spot. I know a lot of people who can't freestyle, and when asked to rap they will spit something they wrote and memorized, which is common although people can usually tell if your spitting a written but whatever. To answer your question yes you can be a rapper without freestylin, just make sure you keep a rap or two on deck that you memorized in case your out on the spot.
