Orange/copper Roots For Hardly Bleached Hair

Why has my hair gotten orange tones after using 20 volume bleach? What can I do to go blonde?

You have used a low volume developer which only lifts one level. When bleaching, I usually use a 30–40 volume developer with the bleach powder.Hair goes through several levels to get from brown to blonde. One bleach treatment, using a low volume developer, will only lift 1–2 levels. If you are in the brown tones, this is completely normal. This treatment took your hair ass far as it could. You need to do a second bleach treatment to take your hair down another 2–3 levels. You will go from orange, to lightest copper to yellows then blondes.I would recommend that you use a 30, not 40, because you already have one process done.Do not use purple on your hair to help distract from the orange. I read a comment that asked if that's ok to do. You would have to then remove that colour and it's getting into to many processes for your hair to stay in good health.

Will my hair turn orange if I bleach it?

Your hair unfortunately will go orange as your hair by what you have explained is quite dark. If you look at my profile picture, my hair is practically Ginger because I went from black to (attempted) blonde. If you are going to bleach your hair, do it and wait a few weeks before you put another colour on it as it can damage your hair. I'm putting another colour on my hair soon and hopefully it will turn out good! :) I've done this before and it worked as I also like change on my hair! :) hope this helped!

My roots are blonde and the rest of my hair is orange?? HELP ME?

Omg!!! I am in your same situation right now but worse. :( I had black dyed hair and just had it bleached twice and put brown dye over it within 3 days this week! and my hair is ruined. It feels like glue, won't dry, and feels like straw at the ends. Whatever u do do not bleach it again! ! I now have to chop 5 inches off of my hair. And cant straighten, blow dry, or curl my hair for 2 months. and i have to go get hot oil treatments and deep conditionings . Wait at LEAST another week or two before u do anything else to it. Id advise you to go back to black or put a dark brown on it. I regret what I did so much. My hair is falling out in chunks.

Dying bleached blonde hair? Protein fillers?

The majority of my hair is bleached blonde, and has been bleached at least twice (once initially then again after an ash blonde dye turned my hair purple). I am growing it out to return to my natural colour, and have a lot of regrowth that looks pretty horrible. My regrowth is a dark dirty blonde. But I need something done to it ASAP as I have been invited somewhere really fancy on the weekend and I'll look pretty trashy in comparison!

I was thinking of just dying it a colour like my roots, as two similar colours would be an improvement. But since my hair has been bleached twice, would the dye react funny? I've heard it could turn green?! And I've read about coloured protein fillers to return some colour to the hair before dying, but what about using a neutral protein filler?

I'm going to call hairdressers tomorrow but I can only afford so much. Ugh.... never dying my hair again! I just want it normal!

Why is my beard differently colored from the hair on my head (or even multicolored in itself)?

If you have ever observed some different colored hair in your facial hair, especially in the scalp hair or in the beard, so take it easy. It is normal and you have done have any medical anomaly. In fact, you should also know that it’s quite natural for body hair to grow in a different shades and colors than the locks on your head. Despite these clear differences might seem illogical, but there’s a proper science behind them. The pigmentation level in your natural hair follicles and hair grafts ultimately determines your actual hair color. Each hair follicle contains a range of eumelanin pigments (causes black or brown shades) or a unique pheomelanin pigments (causes red and yellow shades). Guys with high levels of crucial yellow pheomelanin pigments and low levels of natural brown eumelanin end up with blonde hair. So, different combinations of pigments in each hair follicle determine different hair colors of hair and beard and these combinations explains those random dark patches and red hair or multi-colored beard. So if you have multi-colored hair on the head, then don’t worry. It is 100% normal and safe.Besides the natural pigment development, severe stress, depression, and malnutrition can easily change your natural hair color. If you have gray hair on the head, then it is the primary sign of stress, while dull, dry, and lackluster hair can indicate that you have a vitamin deficiency. But, the major reason of changing the hair color of your beard is harmful sun exposure.  Overexposure of sun rays may lighten your hair color, but it will eventually weaken it in the process. You must use an SPF included shampoo and conditioner. It will keep your natural hair color safe. Try to massage your hair twice a week. It will give extra nourishment and shine to the hair.source: All About Hair Care.

Can I bleach my hair after using henna?

I have dark brown hair and I dyed it with traditional (pure) henna which made it slightly red a year ago (last summer). I hardly see the colour anymore, but I have also been told that you need to grow it out.
However I've been wanting to dye my hair blonde (bleach blonde) but I'm wondering whether I should just wait and grow my hair out then cut off the henna or dye it now (but i'm scared it will turn green).

Also if anyone has had any similar experiences if you could please share the result :)

Thank you :)

How can I strip out bleach from my hair?

Ok, so my natural hair color is a medium blonde color. For the last 6 years or so it's been a mixture of blonde shades from a combination of boxed dye, and salon processes of highlights and lowlights. I hardly ever dyed my hair though, so it wasn't too bad. I went to a salon in early November and wanted my hair to be much lighter blonde, with pink. However the stylist ended up creating a huge pink chunk in the front that I really hated. (She also bleached the heck out of all of my hair) I asked if she could get it out and she said it was impossible, that she couldn't strip it or didn't even know that was possible. So I bought 2 boxes of the lightest color blonde at the px (we live overseas, few options..& Japanese hair doesn't get actually blonde, it's an orange-copper, so off base is no help!). Did one process the following night (only on the pink part, not the bleach blonde), and it lightened up a bit. Did it again the next day, and my hair turned really white. Dyed it with a medium blonde box and it turned gray-green.

So after all of that, I went to the on-base hair salon and paid $160 for a "triple-weave" of three colors, a medium blonde, light brown, & a red based brown.. so that hopefully the mixture of colors would disguise it. Nope! Not at all! Color was decent but much lighter than expected, but within 2 days it was back to the gray-green. & within another couple days it was back to very bleached blonde. So the color won't hold at all.

It's now been over a month since the last process and it just looks horrible. My hair is very light blonde, and my medium blonde roots are now about 3/4" and look brown against the bleach! I need to get my hair back to a normal color! The salon says they can't strip it, neither will the off base salons... thinking about buying a "color oops" type at-home product online & having it shipped here. But I'm reading reviews and they all discuss removing dark colors from their hair.... I'm trying to do the opposite, I want this bleach gone! Is this possible? How? please help! I'm sick of looking like I think I'm bimbo-barbie when I take my daughter to school.... any advice?!

Why are my roots still yellow after 3 bleaching and toning?

There’s more than one reason why your roots are still yellow. It just depends on some information you haven’t provided.• What volume of developer did you use? Maybe the volume you chose wasn’t strong enough.• Is your hair previously colored? Previously colored hair is harder to bleach out. You may need to bleach your hair more than once.• How long did you leave it on your hair? If you didn’t leave the bleach on for a sufficient amount of time, it will not lift out your darker color.• Did the bleach dry out? Once the bleach dries, it dies. No matter how long you leave it on, dried out bleach will not lift your hair color.• How dark or light is your hair? If your hair is black, you may have to bleach your hair more than once.• Once you have bleached and washed you hair, what level toner did you apply? Toners generally do not lighten your hair. So if you only got your hair to a level 7, you cannot put a level 10 toner on and have it do anything.• What tone is your toner? If the tone is warm, it contains reds/oranges/yellows. Cool tones would be blue, purple, green. So if your toner is warm, that would contribute to your yellow tone.
