Hello! There were some good answers already posted, but since I work in the therapy field, and with anxiety a lot, I thought I'd round out some recommendations for you. Here they are: 1) L-Theaninne - a great and scientifically proven natural muscle relaxer used for anxiety and sleep 2) Bach Flower remedy - "Rescue Remedy" Drops to be taken under tongue 3) Lavender tonic 4) Brain Entrainment CDs - Help bring the vibrational rate of the brain to a more relaxed level. Over the counter anxiety medication?
I have a very important interview in a few weeks. I would say that in those situations I tend to be extremely anxious and awkward. I was rather social phobic and still am not completely over it... I'm wondering if there are any over the counter anxiety medication (preferebly in Canadian drug stores like Shopper's Drug Mart) that will calm me down mentally? I hope I can answer questions coherently at the interview and not offend people kuz I'm saying stuff outta panic while being super defensive. Thanks!

St. John’s Wort has been effective in some small studies for depression, which is often accompanied by anxiety. Exercise, as someone mentioned, is great. But if you are truly anxious, it could be a symptom of something else - like depression and even systemic diseases like hyperthyroidism. You should see your doctor for a diagnosis and workup, but even if you decided against that, you should always ask your doctor before taking a supplement, particularly if you are taking other medications - supplements interact with a wide variety of meds.
What are some anxiety pills for stress that are NOT sold over counter?
My doctor wants me to take Xanyx but Im a little skeptical about that. I heard of Zanaprin which is more natural but do you know of any other anxiety pills sold in walgreens, cvs, or walmart that are not sold over counter. Please let me know

No. However, Propranolol is practically given out by doctors because it is considered “safe”. Just say you have performance anxiety and your doctor will most likely have no problem writing a prescription.However, Propranolol does lower testosterone a fair amount every time a dose is taken, so I would not recommend this if you are going through puberty.
