Writing about work experience from family business on resume?
I need help explaining my work experience on resume. For the last few years since I graduated High School, I have worked with my dad in our small family business. I help with most of the daily tasks but an not an official employee of the company. He is the only official employee but in reality, I am the only other person who helps him. I have no official date to put down other than the year I started to work with him on a consistent basis. I do get paid a percentage of certain sales and for my assistance but I am not on a fixed salary. I want to now how I can write or explain this on my resume. Would it constitute lying if I said I was employed under family business ? Should I just list it as work experience ? Please help me articulate so an employer does not mistake me for lying about my work history.

When your doctor clears you. Don't listen to the 6 week rule b/c you could have complications you aren't aware of like i was. I too felt like i was ready around 2 weeks. I also had a C-Section. But I thought to myself, let me wait it out til my 6 week post check up. Turns out, my uterus had only shrunk about 25% of where it was supposed to be at. So I had to wait another month. Yes, it was hell, but had I done what I wanted, I could have permanently damaged my uterus resulting in possible infertility. so just try to wait it our until your doctor gives you clearance. In the long run, it may be more beneficial to you. And absence makes the heart grow fonder!

If I worked at a company for several year, quit, worked at a couple more for a short period of time, and than went back to work at my old job, than could I just leave the Jon's in between off of my resume, like I never left my first job?

Help with my car AC please?
Hey everyone, I ve got a question about my air conditioning in my 2001 Durango SLT, 4.7L RWD. It never seems to be blowing as cold as it should, even though I have a brand new compressor and it s full of R134a (so far s I know). I don t believe it s my receiver-drier or accumulator, I don t have the associated smell. It s not the blower motor either. We checked the blend doors inside the dash, they seem to be working properly. It just never gets very cool during these hot summer days in Florida. It blows semi-cool in the mornings and evenings, and it s certainly cold in the winter, but I m roasting in there during the daytime. It should be much colder than it is. Oh, and I m only getting hot air out of the front passenger side vents no matter what I do with the controls. What could be the problem here? The pressures were all fine when we filled up the freon, and the blend doors appeared to be working properly when we took the dash apart.
Is a C in grad school really considered failure?
At many graduate schools it is. Cs can have you lose funding or be dropped from the program. Most schools I've applied to expect Bs and better. The expectations are higher in graduate school, you need to show mastery of the work not just average understanding. Grading systems are different in the US even when they both use the term GPA. Your grades certainly will matter when applying for many types of funding for your research and should you look for academic jobs you may be asked for your GPA. If you are concerned, talk to students in the programs you are interested in get an idea of the work load and how easy/hard grading is. I'd also like to note that many of the above responses are accurate for American high schools and some colleges, but certainly not for graduate school.
