PS3 super slim 12gb is slow?
i dont know why,but my ps3 is getting slow? i mean,when i try to delete games and data that are more then 1gb its taking alot of time,maybe 5 minutes,and deleting game data for example crysis 3 game data took me 10 minutes to delete... maybe because of the 12gb model that doesnt have HDD?someone that have the 12gb model can check and tell me if it does on his too? i tried to restore file system,fromat and all but nothing helps. my friend got the ps3 super slim model with 500gb and everything is quick and fine. please help...

PS3's do not have a high value anymore, especially in 2018. You can expect ₹7000-₹8000 (~US$110-$125) only for the console. To get the maximum value of your games, always sell them individually and not in bulk.

By modifying I think you mean jailbreaking. You can only jailbreak a ps3 running ofw(official firmware) 3.55 or below or used to run it at some time.The superslim never had ofw 3.55. So your only choice is to install an ODE(Optical Drive Emulator) like Cobra ODE(it costs around 4-5k).So the best option for you is to sell your super slim and buy a ps3 slim and then jailbreak it.An even better option would be to buy a PS3 that is already jail broken.

I am about to buy a PS3 Super Slim 12 GB and I am having a Q that will GTA IV and GTA IV: EFLC run on the console flawlessly and I am talking about the Blu Ray Disk and also since the console has only 12 GB of memory(I know I will be unable to install much games on its HDD as its only 12 GB)will I be able to run all games(Blu Ray Disk versions)on the console flawlessly. Is it possible to jailbreak a super slim PS3 yet?
I’m afraid it will never be possible since you can’t obtain signing root key in order to install CFW. Only reason why hackers obtained root keys in OFW 3.55 was inproper inplementation of ECDSA (Elliptic Curve Digital Signature Alghorhitm), it used static private key instead of random. Later OFW versions use random private key and it is impossible to obtain root key by normal means (it would take forever using brute-force attack, ECDSA use very large prime numbers for encryptions), the only theoretical way to do this is using quantum computers using Shor's Algorithm (don’t ask me for details, it is very complicated) and these kind of computers won’t be available for average people for a very long time. Cryptography is very interesting branch of science, but also is very hard to understand therefore I’m not going to try to explain how exactly ECDSA works because it would be very difficult to write it in simple language.Also you can’t downgrade PS3 Superslim to OFW 3.55 since they were shipped with default higher firmware and attempt of downgrade will corrupt flash data and brick your console. The same will happen if you try to use PS3xploit for OFW 4.82, it relies on OFW 3.55 root keys and since PS3 Superslim using default higher firmware you can’t use them because they were revoked and blacklisted by Sony.Only way to play copied games on PS3 Superslim are Cobra or 3K3Y ODE (Optical Drive Emulator) but I’m not sure if they working with latest firmware or install HAN by exploiting vulnerabilities on OFW 4.82.TL;DR: You can’t jailbreak PS3 Superslim yet, and since ECDSA works correctly you won’t be able to this anytime soon. If you want CFW, just buy used older version of PS3 which have factory OFW no higher than 3.55 (there are many older PS3 models in pawn shops or video game shops).

You may be able to find a second hand one on ebay or possibly amazon, though i’d say ebay would be more likely of the 2. If you were a bit more flexible with regards to console model you may stand a better chance though.So ask yourself does it really have to be a super slim 12gb model or would a ‘fat ps3’ or ps3 slim do the same job, (which i’d guess it would)You could always buy a used cosole within your budget and jailbreak it yourself. Though to do this you will have to know what firmware you can get a jailbreak for and make sure to purchase one running on that firmware.If you buy one with an earlier version of firmware, you may or may not be able to upgrade it by downloading the firmware version you need onto pc and updating the console via usb. However if you buy a console with a later version of the firmware, you will not be able to roll it back to an earlier version.I personally have never jailbroke a ps3 but have done plenty of android and ios devices, and have researched the subject fairly well.However i must say, this is not in anyway a guide. It is possible to brick the console if you dont know what you are doing and should not be attempted without thorough research and reputable sources for your downloads.
