Hi, My shih Tzus do they same thing. I put a little pineapple in their food or canned pumpkin. IT could be an acid imbalance in their system and they are trying to compensate or they are being clean and cleaning their mess this is bad if they have parasites and keep reinfecting their system. Try forbid it is sold on line in the dr, foster and smith website. LAmmy

you dont want to do something that will affect your health or just yield short term effects. i was 120 @ age 23 so i know what you're going through. follow the food pyramid and you should do fine. the trick is not to eat more but to eat what you're suppose to. stick with 2000 calories unless you do a lot of physical activity. www.mypyramid.gov has great information.
My dogs poop was black?
So this morning my dogs poop was black. It was very solid and firm but just black. Yesterday i brought her to a park with me while I was frisbee golfing and she was constantly smelling around and eating stuff off the ground and I think she ate a couple pieces of goose poop because it was everywhere at the park. Could it just be something she ate there or could it be something worse? She goes in to get spayed in 2 days so if it continues i will also bring them a stool sample to check it out but I was just curious to get some info now.

IDEAS FOR TRAINING TREATS Cooked Chicken - Iceland and Aldi have pieces of cooked chicken it’s available in bags which are about the size of a bag of frozen chip. The pieces of chicken are the size of a frozen chip. Dogs love this, I defrost the amount which I need for a training session and for my GSD I chop the pieces into the size of my little finger nail It’s cheaper than commercial dog treats and much healthier. Black Pudding - Is fantastic. It's available from butchers and supermarkets. Chop it up, bag it and freeze it. Cheese - Buy a large block of HARD cheese, chop it up, bag it and freeze it. Sausage - It's available as hot dogs in tins or you can simply buy ordinary sausage from the butchers, cook it, slice it and then freeze it. Supermarkets also sell cooked smoked sausage which you can also chop up and freeze Liver cooked in the oven, diced and frozen. I Liver cake - l/2 Ib liver, l/2 Ib plain flour, 1 egg, several cloves of garlic. Liquidize the liver and squash up the garlic, mix everything together OR just put everything into a food processor. The consistency should be the same as a Christmas cake. Cook in a Swiss roll tin, cool and cut in to treat size pieces and freeze.
Does Zupreem Ferret Food cause diarrhea?
A little over a month ago i switch my ferret from Marshall's to Zupreem. I did it very gradually. Now he is eating Zupreem only, but he has loose stool everyday. His poop was normal when he was eating Marshall's, but he loves the Zupreem. Has anyone else had this problem? Is it possible that he may be allergic to the food? He is very active and maintains a healthy body weight. Thanks for your help!
