So I Have A Kindle And I Bought A Movie On It And Want To Move It To My Computer Then Phone But I

How do I transfer a book from one Kindle account to another?

Pulling teeth might be easier. I was hoping to find the answers here, but ended up on a call with AmazonCustomer Service for 1hour 27minutes with issues still pending.Short answer: If you and your Dad have separate Amazon accounts, then Amazon will not let you do this transfer because the books were purchased/licensed to your Dad. Now, if your Dad were to give up his account and let you have it, then see below. Here’s the breakdown of the situation:I have two separate Amazon accounts, both under my name. Let’s call them account A and B.I several non-overlapping books in each account. My goal is to consolidate the books that I have from B to AHere is what Amazon’s rep and I worked through… (note, the Amazon rep stated that I would first need to sync my two Amazon account to one account, then their engineers can consolidate my digital media to one account)Change the email address of account A to the email of BSign into account AGo to Account & Lists >> Your Account >> Login & Security SettingsClick Edit for emailEnter account B emailClick Change and Verify Email AnywayAn automated verification email to be sent to account BClick the link within the verification email from the previous step (B).A new browser window will open with account B’s email pre-filled. You will use the old password for account A (which is now B) to log in to complete the verification process. We got stuck here because the email of A did not change to B.I was told that a supervisor or kindle specialist would need to look into this. It’s possible that the change (email change) need to take time to replicate through their backend. It is also possible that Amazon does not allow consolidations of this sort because each account is on their own. I will update once Amazon calls me back.I heard that you can download the books somehow and force this transfer, but I’m going to wait on to sort this two account mess out first.

If I buy a kindle fire do I need wifi to access the internet?

Hi, Grew, you need Wi-Fi connectivity (hot spot) to get on the web from Kindle Fire. However, what also is important is that you cannot get to the Amazon storage that is being promised without Wi-Fi thus you're stuck with 6 GB of usable storage that is enough for may be 2 movies and 5 apps. You'll have to move your content in and out almost daily with this device as all Kindle models do not have microSD (or other) card slot. Nook Color (and the rumored incoming Nook Color 2) from Barnes & Noble has a microSD card slot and can get up to 32 GB card in(class 6 or above.) Kindles are made to be almost like a "dumb terminal" of the past to make sure you're tied up to Amazon's storage on the web (for which you need Wi-Fi connection to get to.) and you can only store content you get from Amazon there, not other files. Also, VERY IMPORTANT – lack of microSD slot means that if you decide to root your Kindle Fire, you’ll have to root the actual device thus there will be no coming back. On Nook, you can make it boot from a “rooted” microSD card and if you want to get back to the original Nook you can just take out the card and reboot. Nook Color still has the best on the market anti-glare coated screen that is better for reading/viewing outside. Kindle Fire is no more media tablet than even current Nook Color, most specs are the same, just a bit faster. If you walk in with the Nook to Barnes & Noble store, you’re allowed to read ANY available eBook for free while in the store via free provided in the store Wi-Fi.
