Ah, cover-up, gotcha haha. I was actually planning to get some, I currently don't have any tattoos but I have plans for some. :3. I like to put ages of thought into something so I didn't want to get something, when yea of course it can mean something entirely different to me as these would, but I wanted to make sure it didn't have some vulgar or any other meaning to it. How many sessions should a solid armband tattoo really take?
I have a solid armband tattoo. Much like this one in the picture only higher up on my arm. http://i.imgur.com/UNpK3.jpg I've gone through 2 sessions consisting of 4-6 hours each. The first sessions the artist outlined the tattoo and filled in the entire armband in until around the 6th hour I couldn't bear the pain anymore. I came back for the second session which the artist fixed some lines and filled in some more until I coudn't bear the pain around the 4th hour. It's been a week or so since the second sessions and it healed up pretty nicely. Of course I take great care for my tattoos. But I know I have to go back for a third session because I can still seem my skin through some shaded areas of the tattoo and it looks like it's faded sorta. I'm just wondering, how long should it really take for an armband? I want mine to be completely dark but I feel like it's take a bit longer than usual. HELP!

I could say something snarky like “They signify a terminal lack of imagination, especially the ‘barbed-wire’ ones,” or “They mean the tattoo owner is stuck in the 1990s,” but the truth is, not every tattoo has a meaning beyond the fact that the person saw the design and thought it looked cool enough to have in their skin for the rest of forever.In fact, I answered another question about whether all tattoos have to have meanings. No… not really. Two of mine are just “Daaaamn, what a cool piece of art! I need to contact the artist and ask permission to get this as a tattoo.” Granted, they fit my overarching theme of birds, specifically crows and ravens, and that’s probably why I liked them so much. (I’ve never had an artist say, “Yuck, no, please don’t ever get that or any of my art as a tattoo.” Both women were quite flattered.)But as I told the other person, if you really like vintage toasters, or Hello Kitty, or owls, or abstract squiggles or what have you so much that you are certain you want this particular thing on you from now until you croak, go for it. You really don’t have to have a deep, meaningful reason behind the Pokémon called Miltank.
