I've Sony Vaio VGN-FZ21E and i want to format Vista Home premium and install Vista Business edition, but my problem is how do i make a boot cd??? When my notebook is powering up, i tap F2 and i can't set the cd to boot from.How to made the cd drive to boot??? How to make my Vista cd to boot from the cd drive??? BTW my BIOS is R1120J7. PLEASE HELP ME!!! Thanks

Sony VAIO FZ21E laptop?
I'm thinking of buying this laptop and just hoping for some advice. It's 15.4 inches and weighs 2.8kg. I was hoping for something slightly smaller - 14 inch or smaller - but it looks like smaller Sonys (I would prefer to buy a Sony laptop) are a little out of my budget! This does seems thinner than other 15.4 inch laptops I've seen (Width: 35.6 cm, Depth: 25.4 cm, Height: 3.5 cm). But I'm just wondering - is 2.8kg a decent enough weight if I'm looking for portability in a laptop? (I don't really know how heavy/non-heavy 2.8kg is!) What is the heaviest weight I should be looking for in a laptop if I want to be able to carry it around?

ok, i need help. First of all my laptop screen is blank when turned on, the fan is working and so is everything else, (the green light is on.) However i have tried a few things and it hasnt worked so. In the week it came to this, the screen started to flicker and freeze, (one time it was like the old standby screen on tv when there was no connection) so i just turned it off and bak on.Untill now, i turn it on everything is whirring but the screen is blank. Also the WLAN bar is not on, and when i bring the top down, it continues when it should sleep. Thats it from me, thx to anyone who can help me i will pick a best answer ps. i have a fair amount of computer knowledge. so pls dont say dumb things like turn it of and bak on. thx again i would really appreciate an correct answer

Honestly, you are pushing a cart up a mountain if you expect to play high end gaming on a notebook designed for 32 bit rather than 64 bit. The max ram is only 4gb, High end gaming needs at least 8gb ram so you won't get any benefit from using 64 bit os. The CPU is only 2ghz! And it only has a 200 gb hdd. The drivers are not avaialbe so you won't get them for Windows 7 64 bit. Go buy a better laptop or Desktop PC.That noterbook is only for Office applications and not intended for movie-making nor gaming. Even if you manage to use a cheat way of using those drivers, it will still crash and BSOD and many other things due to the CPU only being 2ghz and the ram is only 4gb. It's not even a fully-fledged laptop! GPU RAM - 256 MB 256mb video ram is not enough for Windows 7 64 bit! EDIT - you will also need the audio drivers for 64 bit os and I doubt that there are any. Notebboks can be upgraded past there exeisting oprerating systems, but a different bit OSmay not act as expected. If you are only using it for browsing and watching movies then you only need Vista 32 bit. Trying to get that extra .08gb (100mb) of video ram is not going to make movies play faster. 64 bit is also much slower to load, especially with low ram and low gpu ram. Good Luck in getting what you want, though.

Ahh you see "Barnes T", i like your thinking. I had that in mind, but i dont trust my fingers although i have been taking stuff apart since i was 5 years old :-). Im also running out of room on my 250gb Sky HD but dont want to delete what i have. I guess i may have to wait like the rest of us for the USB and SATA port are enabled.
