Sudden Left Forearm Pain

My wrist, arm and forearm have started to pain all of a sudden while writing and I am deeply worried. What might be the reason?

This pain is due to cervical radicular inflammation.nerve swling in short. Simple test is if u hold that painful forearm above head pain will reduce .that indicates it is related to neck.U need to do shoulder shrugs and take medication to reduce nerve swelling. Common cause is exposure of neck to cold while sleeping at night.Use hot fomentation.stay away from cold air blast from ac or cooler or fan at night and at work.Medication needed can be in form of pain relievers.swelling relievers and those making nerve quiet.

I have a pain in my left forearm, that won't go away.?

About 3 weeks ago my left forearm started to get a bit tight. Now something as easy as hanging up the phone after talking for any time, easy extremely difficult. With my palm down the area that feels as if it is in a vise, is approx. 2 iches down from my elbow. It also hurts now to make squezzed fist. What could this be?

Pain in my right forearm?

You are probably right-hand dominant and doing something repeatedly with your right hand and arm just often enough to stress those muscles. The next morning you feel the pain because the muscles and ligaments tightened up. OR you are left-hand dominant and your right arm can't do as much as the left.

You need to review your activities of the last day or two and consider what you might have been doing to cause this. Too many reps with free weights might do it. Something along that line.

If a topical ointment like Tiger Balm and heat doesn't help, you might need to go to your doctor for an evaluation and treatment. Perhaps it is something he will call "tennis elbow" that is stressed tendons of the elbow. Rest and orthopedic support (arm band or elbow brace) might be all you need.

Sudden pains in left arm 3 days after donating blood. A little help, please?

It is quite possible that there is pressure being applied to the nerve ending or that a nerve has been irritated. I'm uncertain as to if this was caused by the needle from donating blood because, normally, you would of felt this pain sooner. But, if there is any irritation to the area, swelling, or bruising, this can place pressure on the nerve in the affected arm. Any redness, swelling or bruising at the site where the needle was used on your arm?? The best advice is to contact your Doc and be evaluated since your symptoms are, more than likely, nerve related. Try not to use the affected arm ( easier said than done), apply ice to the area but, not directly on top of your skin. Use a small towel or a pillowcase then place the ice. Do this 3-4 times a day for, at least, 15-20 mins. Have you tried taking any Advil/Motrin ( Ibuprofen) which will help with any swelling ( inflammation). But, call your Doc. If the symptoms persist or worsen, in the meantime, go to the ER. I hope that this helps and Good Luck !!
