Trade 2005 Vw Gti For 2005 Mercedes C55 Amg

2005 Mercedes SL 55 AMG?

the amg is made by a company that makes race car engines, if he wants more power then he should trade it in and get a sl65 amg. the new exhaust systems and chips may give you small increases that your father will not really notice and then he will want more, i have driven the sl65 amg twin turbo and if he wants more than that he will have to get the slr mclaren. i have driven both the sl55, and 65 amg, the sl 65 is hard to beat

Whats better 2005 Mercedes E55 AMG or 2007 Mercedes benz S550?

I would not advise getting the AMG used. They make great daily drivers as low miles cars but once they start to rack up miles the up keep on them start to get pricey while the value drops. Also, the 2007 is 2 years newer and much more comfortable to drive. I loved my AMG but driving it for a long period of time was annoying and uncomfortable. Also, when I went to trade it in for a 2010 G55 I lost nearly 15K after only having the car for a year and putting 12K miles on it

Should I get a Mercedes-AMG C 43 or a Mercedes-AMG CLS 53?

You are really making an unfair comparison, because CLS 53 AMG can be only compared to E53 AMG… not C43. CLS is a higher Class by itself and a lot more expensive. But to give you a little overview between those, you need to understand a major difference: C and E -Classes can have different configurations. They can be 4-Door Sedans, 2-Door Coupes or 2-Door Cabriolets. While CLS-Class can only be a 4-Door Coupe - which is controversial already… because coupe suppose to have only 2 doors, but I’ll talk about it a little later.Furthermore there a distinct difference between AMG 43, 53 and 45, 63, 65 models. They all have something in common, which is obviously a high performance AMG-modified technology. However even though they’re AMG modified, 43’s and 53’s are built on the regular conveyor - the same as any other Mercedes-Benz model built. On another hand 45, 63 and 65’s (and few others) are assembled by hand. Special care and pride is taken by a single master technician. AMG calls this process: “One man - One engine”. And that person signs his name inside the steel plate on top of the engine, after he finishes an assembly. Now there is a reason why CLS-Class has been nothing but a controversy since it’s initial release in 2005 and you can watch in this video below. It talks about the changes to the latest 2019 CLS-Class models, but also talks in great length about CLS history and why it’s called a Coupe? And why 4 Doors? Watch it:

Are AMG owned by Mercedes?

Yes, Mercedes currently 100% owns AMG.According to Wikipedia:Mercedes-AMG GmbH, commonly known as AMG, is the high performance brand used by Mercedes-Benz. AMG independently hires engineers and contracts with manufacturers to customize Mercedes-Benz AMG vehicles. Mercedes-AMG is headquartered in Affalterbach, Baden-Württemberg, Germany.AMG was originally an independent engineering firm specializing in performance improvements for Mercedes-Benz vehicles; DaimlerChrysler AG took a controlling interest in 1999, then became sole owner of AMG in 2005. Mercedes-AMG GmbH is now a wholly owned subsidiary of Daimler AG.

Replacement key for 2001 E55 amg Mercedes?

the only thing you can do is go to the nearest MB dealership. They will ask you to show documents to show car ownership. The keys have to be made by MB because they are smart as you say and have to be programmed to be compatible with only yours.
If I remember well, the cost is about 300 dollars, but it might depend on the model too.
good luck and keep it in a safe place

Should I buy a Mercedes C55 AMG Sport Sedan?

The C55 is NOT AWD. With the exception of the SUV's, AMG cars are rear drive only.

While the C55 is definitely faster than your current car, you may find that the handling is not quite to the level of your 323, especially if you have the sport package.

If you want something fast, but with the security of AWD, you could get the 335xi, which starts out a little cheaper than the $41,5k of the C55. Or you could save yourself some cash and look at a 2005-6 330xi, which should run in the low to mid $30's.

Which should I buy, a Golf GTI,  a Leon FR, an Audi S3, a Mercedes A-Class AMG or a BMW 1M?

I would choose the 1M because: 1. It was only produced for one year and with a very finite amount so its depreciation does not suffer as badly. In fact, of the few 1Ms on sale, most of them are being sold for a higher price than their original MSRP!2. There are several video comparisons between the Cayman R (arguably the best sports car for the money) and 1M where the 1M comes out on top because of its everyday usability and world-class handling. 3. It has the suspension, brakes, LSD and rear subframe from the M3. 4. VALENCIA ORANGE is an option. Ermagerrrrd  If you have the opportunity to drive all the listed, however, that really is the best way for you to tell exactly which one tickles your fancy. Good luck!

Should I buy a 2005 Mercedes or Volkswagen with 150,000KM for 5000$?

I would not recommend a car with this much mileage used. Your better off putting $3.5k-$4.5 on a down for a new VW with full warranty on a lease or purchase depending on how much you drive. Any used car can turn into a money pit you don't know exactly what the owner went through and Carfax doesn't cover all details every time. I spent $4.5 K last year on maintenance, repairs, and service on my second hand Jetta not including gas tax for insurance for the car. This was the biggest financial mistake I made last year. I would've spent less if I didn't trade my almost new Audi A4. I spent $0 on maintenance in the year I had it driving almost as much but with a good warranty. I just drive a lot so my expenses are higher than most people for cars. Whatever car you decide to get always make sure you have a good warranty. New cars are generally pretty reliable and far less in maintenance costs. If you take good care of your car and put it through proper regular service and oil changes, it can surpass 150K miles with low cost comparison to used. I have spoken to a few people who got their Jetta and Audi past 200K and even 300K miles. In my experience new cars far lower in cost of ownership from beginning to end just take good care of your car and it will last you with little repair. I personally would prefer to spend that money on Uber's or other transportation if you don't want new. I wish you the best with your decision and my final recomendation below.Below is a sample ad from VW for a new lease. You can add $30-$45 per month if you are purchasing the same car. My last Jetta was a lease 36 month 12,000 miles at $114 per month with almost complete warranty, mid-range options and $4,800 down payment. Turned out to be very affordable for the time I had it.

What is the difference between a Peugeot 208 GTI and the GTI Prestige?

The sporty Peugeot 208 GTi Prestige lives up to its name by having more equipment on board than the standard GTi model. The Peugeot 208 GTi Prestige is the more lavishly equipped version of the French brand's hot hatchback. The 'Prestige' part of its name mainly comes down to the addition of some very desirable extras like satellite navigation, a panoramic roof and part-leather heated sports seats. That's on top of all of the little GTi details dotted inside and out the hot hatchback and performance parts like stiffer suspension and strong Brembo brakes.Peugeot New 208 GT Line | Official Peugeot UAE Website

Which year and model of Mercedes Benz is the most reliable?

I think any of them can be quite reliable when properly cared for. I own probably one of the worst rated MB in regards to quality. A 2001 ML 430. It is a brute of a rig. 5,100 pound, body on frame, V8 powered 4x4. It will pull anything, go anywhere (I have all terrain tires on it), and still look decent on a night out (my opinion).I purchased it in 2004 used. I have been anal with maintenance and it now has 175,000+ miles on the clock. It still has the original fuel pump, water pump, alternator, hoses (need to replace those just because), and starter. Never fails to start or get me to work. The paint is still good (minus the rock chips), leather looks fantastic, no dash cracks and everything works as it should. It has failed to get me home once in the last 13 years. A $45 crank position sensor and an hour of my time fixed that. And I use it. It tows trailers, goes 4 wheeling (just did last Saturday), or just a nice Sunday drive. It has crossed rivers and streams more than 2′ deep. I have buried it in mud (not by choice, I had to get somewhere), pulled a 9k pound trailer across town, gone 4 wheeling in Moab, and driven most of the western US and has never given me a fuss. Most people do not realize that MB designed it to be very rugged off road. It has a fantastic low range, factory skid plates and plenty of ground clearance. The bumpers hang a little low for my liking, but I am working on a plan to fix those.I have no plans on replacing it anytime soon. Sure, I have had to fix things. But none of them left me stranded and some good internet searching found the parts needed at a decent price. So, to wrap this up. I do not buy the notion that MB (or BMW and Audi) are unreliable by nature. They do require more maintenance, but will reward you if you are willing.
