What is the little picture called next to http:// using explorer7?

1.I know exactly what you are talking about.
It's called a favicon. Check out the moon icon here:
http://missingmethods.com

2.To make your icon visit this link:
http://www.htmlkit.com/services/favicon/

3.once you have it, save it as favicon.ico directly in your Web root folder, not in any others.

4.Then upload it to your server (Web host)

5.link it to your Web page by placing

between the tags of your document. Of course, replace file address with the correct location, everything else stays the same.

7. Make sure to upload your Web page to your server (Web host).

8. View your page through a Web browser like IE or Firefox.

My son accidentally deleted the cd icon on his modified wii. Now it can't play pirated games. How can i restor?

Well, I am not sure on how to restore the disk channel, but I might know how to still play games on the wii.

There is an app on the homebrew channel that is similar to the disk channel. I think its called wii game loader (or something similar). I think that you can play different regional games.

So to get this app, go to the homebrew channel, then go to the homenrew browser, then go to the " utilities " tab located in the homebrew browser, and look around until you find this app, and that should help you.

Hope this helps.

How anonymous is the Chrome incognito mode browsing option?

Incognito is bullsh*t :)Many people use Incognito because they think it protects their privacy when surfing online, which is wrong.Incognito will do the following:Will not store local browsing history on your computerWill block *some* 3rd party cookies (tracking/retargeting cookies)Google will still store your online searches and can easily match them to your regular browsing session (based on your IP, User-Agent and other HTTP/TCP metadata). It’s extremely easy to match a user Incognito session to his regular one.Bottom line, sites will still store your activity and/or any information provided as part of your behavior on their website. If you care about your privacy online, Incognito is definitely not a solution._________________*** Teaser *** - I’m building a company (still in stealth) that will help consumers unlock the information that is out there about them. What do you call that small image in the Internet tabs?

It's called a favicon. You need to create one that is 16x16 pixels in size, then rename it to favicon.ico and put it in your root folder of the web server and press enter.

Can one permanently pin a tab in Chrome?

This hack seems ok but there is an easiest way to do for *nix OS. 1. Open Chrome2. Pin the tabs you want to open permanently. 3. Go to Settings or type chrome://settings/appearance on URL.4. On this area, Select "Open a specific page or set of pages". Click "Set pages" after that.5. Click "use Current pages" button. You will see a pop-up window similar to the following screenshot. In my case, there are thee pinned tabs I like to open.6.Click OK and restart chrome to see it's working or not.Note: I don't have a Mac and this is done in Linux distro. I hope it is work in MacOS too. Cheers!!!

Why doesn't Safari display favicons in the tab bar?

I don't work for Safari so any answer would be conjecture. However, I will add a comparison screenshot. I lined up the same tabs, in the same order, with the same tab frontmost in both Safari and Chrome (as Chrome uses favicons) There are clearly lots of differences but lets just focus on the favicons (or lack thereof) The key value of favicons is recognition and targeting. This is a fundamental aspect of UX design. Too often people confuse  the use of images vs icons. An image is a graphical object (often large and complex) used usually just once to decorate. An icon is a small and simple object, sometimes monochrome, used repetitively to identify an object type. Folder and document icons are some of the very first uses of icons. They are meant to make use of humans insanely efficient pattern recognition capabilities. By using an icon, you enable people to search and target an object easier and faster, making clicking/tapping much much easier. As an added bonus, if you were to open 20 tabs on Chrome, you'd notice that the tabs keep shrinking until just the favicons are shown:This shows how valuable favicons can be, shrinking a tab down to a tiny tiny space yet still be identifiable and useful to the user.As I stated in the beginning, I can't speak for Safari and I can't explain why they don't use favicons. I'm sure glad that Chrome does however. (Note: nearly EVERY modern browser uses favicons. Safari is the only one I know of that doesn't (which is probably why this question was asked in the first place ;))
