Why was Bill Clinton Impeached?
Clinton was impeached by the House in '98 and acquitted by the Senate. It was only the 2nd impeachment of a President in US history. If he had been honest about the whole thing, some people might have been butthurt but he would have avoided the impeachment process. As it stands, people are still upset that he perjured himself while holding the office of President of the United States of America.

I don’t think so. Clinton was impeached for perjury (lying under oath about marital infidelity) and obstruction of justice. Well, when it comes to lying, very few unbiased observers can deny that Donald Trump lies on a scale that dwarfs that of any political figure in our country’s history. And obstruction of justice? He openly stated that he fired the Director of the FBI because he would not let his investigation of Russian interference, and possible collusion between Russia and the Trump campaign, go. Let alone his (again, right out in the open) statements that Jeff Sessions should be protecting him and that if he had known Sessions was going to recuse himself from the Russia investigation, he would never have appointed him as Attorney General.Of course, there are many, many other actions this president has done to justify impeachment. Violating campaign finance rules to pay off Stormy Daniels, violating the emoluments clause of the Constitution (profiting from business with foreign governments), siding with our country’s enemies and alienating our long-time allies,… The list can go on and on.There is technically no requirement that a president has to actually commit a crime to be impeached (“… high crimes and misdemeanors”) so in the end it really comes down to Congress to decide whether presidential wrongdoing rises to the level that justifies impeachment. And on this, the GOP have truly failed this country. The rank hypocrisy they have displayed during his time in office is truly stunning. If President Obama had done any of the things Trump has so far gotten away with, there would have been immediate calls for impeachment. Instead we get mealy-mouthed excuses from the many Judases clutching their 30 pieces of silver for betraying their consciences, their principles, and their country.So is it fair? No.

Bill Clintons impeachment just shows how desperate the repugs were to stop him from improving the American economy. He left that fool W a surplus and that fool lied us into a war for oil. Where's a valid impeachment when you need it?
