What Are My Chances Of Getting Into Baylor University

What are my chances of getting into Baylor University?

I am 99.99999% positive that you will get accepted to Baylor University. It's great that you have extracurricular activities that you are involved int To improve you chances make sure you apply early and take the SAT one more time to see if you can score any higher, since it appears you may be better at the SAT than the ACT. Baylor gives out scholarships based on academic excellence so you should try to get the best scores that you can.
To get a general idea of what your scholarship would be use this: http://www.baylor.edu/admissions/index.p...
I hope this helps you and Baylor is a great school.

What are my chances of getting into Baylor University?

Don't listen to Hannah. I just read that the average SAT score for Baylor is a 1650, which is just a bit above average. By saying your score was "medium-highish," I would assume that your score was probably between an 1800 and a 1900.

And your GPA is fine. Your unweighted GPA is around the average GPA for all who were accepted.

If you get good letters of recommendation and enough extracurricular activities, you're almost guaranteed to get in

And how do you get a 6.01???
When I used a GPA calculator, I was curious how high a GPA could go, and the answer is a 5.00.... oh whales.

@Hannah- OK, you only talk about improving SAT scores. You say this person needs to get his/her SAT score up. He/She doesn't; seems that you didn't do any research. First you say that one's SAT score is the most vital aspect to get into a good school; it's not. My counselors say it; my aunt, a former English teacher, says it. You're clearly wrong.
And from what I'm seeing, I can infer that you're essentially advertising Guide Paradise's stuff. Granted, I never used it, so I don't know how good it is, but how about you give some OTHER tips instead of just broadcasting Guide Paradise?!?!?! Besides, the College Board's SAT study guide has genuine tests, so that would probably be most useful. You're not helping anyone by doing this. Give some helpful tips. Just giving a person a book won't help her because she doesn't know how to do it.

What are my chances to get into Texas A&M or Baylor University as an international student?

Howdy!I am an international student from Honduras, Central America and currently attend Texas A&M University! If you have really good grades and your SAT or/and ACT is good then, you have a pretty good chance of being admitted. Also, A&M doesn’t just focus on grades but on holistic review (such as organizations you’ve been in, clubs, sports, activities, involvement overall). My grades throughout high school were great but I got a sore of 1020 for my SAT and still got admitted because I was very involved. I am Allied Health major planning to attend nursing school. During high school I had clinicals junior and senior year and would volunteer at a local hospital. I was also the president of two organizations. I was in sports and other activities! Tuition will be expensive and doubled but you can apply for scholarships. If you’re the first person in your family to attend college, then you may qualify to become a Regent’s Scholar. I am a Regent’s Scholar and I am on a $20,000 scholarship over the period of 4 years and many other scholarships. Anyways good luck, A&M has many chances for you. Get informed and apply!!!-a current fellow Aggie!

What are my chances to get into Baylor University with a 3.2 GPA and a 1120 SAT?

First, instead of asking Quora these types of questions, go here: collegeboard.org . The College Board makes a living by collecting statistics from colleges (and giving tests.)Then from that web site, find your college: Baylor University - BU - The College Board and read the information that states that 96% of the admitted freshmen were in the top Half of their graduating class and that 75% of the admitted freshmen scored 1190 or higher on the SAT.Then with those numbers in hand, talk with your Guidance Counselor.

What are my chances to get into the university of Lafayette With a 3.2 cumulative GPA?

Pretty good. It is ranked fairly low on the US national university rankings (which include those that award PhD’s). Last I looked it was almost last. My ex-wife who attended wanted my children to go there. They went to MIT.The average ACT score is 22 (which is 60th percent) with a 75th percentile of 25. That means of people who took the ACT that ULL students averaged in the 60th percentile. Not all students who take the ACT go to college. Its scores are approximately equal to LSU in Louisiana though I think they do more research. They are certainly not the flagship public university in Louisiana (LSU has that honor). If you a Louisiana resident there is the TOPS scholarship which makes tuition free (I think the requirement is 23 now but may change with budget cuts.So there are quite a few international students as the cost is not high and the requirements not high either. But the reputation is strictly local and Lafayette is not a center of excellence for study like many places in the US South. There certainly are good schools like Emory, Tulane, UT Austin, Georgia Tech, etc. ULL is an education. If you try really hard you can surely learn a lot, but it is not forced upon you.

What can I do to get into Baylor University?

I found that Baylor takes your personal statement when applying pretty seriously, especially if your GPA isn’t the best. It’s a Christian University so it will help to talk about your faith and how you want that to play into your experience as a student. Also they like diverse backstories, try not to sound like every other person applying. Try to find something that makes you stand apart. Good luck!

Can i get into Baylor University?

Maybe. Your GPA looks great, but I would need to see more of your résumé to know for sure. Make sure to stress what you have done in college, not high school. Colleges don't care about high school stuff once you start college.

Edit: Make sure you stress any service or leadership you have done at NAU. I think you will get in at UC Irvine, Baylor, and Texas A&M. I don't think you will get in at Duke or USC.

How hard is it to get into the direct Baylor University and Baylor College of Medicine program?

it is EXTRAORDINARILY difficult to get into any medical school, and baylor is considered to be quite prestigious, so the chances of getting in are slimmed down considerably. you must have as close to a 4.0 as possible, excellent mcat scores, medical research under your belt and experience in a medical setting to even apply, and you need to have something 'extra' to stand out to get in anywhere. most students who apply to med school are excellent students with a longish list of medical research to their name, and mcats around 30-35 (thats about average as far as accepted students go). approx 58% of all applicants to ALL med schools in the u.s. are rejected from every school they apply to every year, so it is one of the most competitive fields out there. now, youre talking about an expediant program where you would be basically rushed through to med school in three years. this program accepts MAYBE 1% of the applicants. there are very few programs like this in the country, so the number of applicants every year is very high; much much higher than most medical schools' number of applicants. baylor's program looks for all-around stars; you basically have to do everything right all throughout high school; a 4.0 is essentially required and your extracurriculars have to be very strong and impressive; national honors society, thespian, merit scholar, speech and debate, etc, etc (the list needs to be VERY long). no average student could ever get into an accelerated program. that said, even if you do get into a program like this, if you rush through in three years and go right to med school, you may regret it. im in med school now, but i took a year off after receiving my 2nd bachelors degree (in something other than science; science majors are a dime a dozen when speaking about med school applicants), and i couldnt be happier with that decision. my closest friend just graduated from medical school, and she rushed through undergrad in 3 years and went directly to medical school; she now regrets it deeply and wishes she had taken time off, and even questions her desire to even be a doctor anymore; and we are talking about a girl who has wanted nothing else but to be a physician her entire life. so, in short, chances of getting into the particular program youre asking about are less than 1%
