What Are My Chances Of Getting Into Fsu And Ucf

What are my chances of getting into UF, FSU, UCF?

UCF and FSU should be no problem (assuming you have decent SAT/ACT scores)

UF, a little less chance of getting, not saying no chance, just less chance compared to FSU and UCF.

for UF you will either need outstanding test scores to overcome your GPA (bc it is currently like low average for UF, but still an excellent GPA) or boost GPA and you can be safe with lower scores

I got into UCF with these stats:

GPA: unweighted: 3.7 weighted 4.1

SAT: 1150 (math/reading) 1760 (math/reading/writing)

ACT: 27

102 service hours

no disciplinary record

not applying to UF bc I thought they were too snobbish when I visited, and I fell in love with UCF :D

no standard classes except PE

good luck!!

Chances of getting into UF, FSU, UCF?

I'm a junior. I have a 4.1 GPA weighted, 3.9 unweighted but I took 5 APs this semester (4 As, 1 B) and my other 2 classes were honors (1 A, 1 B) and these grades haven't been added into my GPA yet so hopefully thatll boost it.

SAT was 1250 without writing. ACT was 30.

I've been volunteering at my church nursery once a week for almost 3 years and have logged over 100 hours volunteering at a hospital (for over a year now).

At school I've been in marching band 3 years and am in National Honor Society and Art Honor Society and a freshman orientation program called Link Crew.

I really want to go to the school of nursing at UF. I already did college tours and I want to go there really badly. What are my odds of getting into the 3 universities but particularily UF?

What are my chances of getting into UF, UCF and FSU?

Ok first of all UCF DOES require test scores. If you got around a 450's in both math and reading, UCF is somewhat lenient when it comes to that, esp with the high GPA and if you apply for SUMMER TERM. If you didn't get AT LEAST a 500 in each section, then FSU will either reject or defer you for better test scores, ESP if you are OUT OF STATE, then your chances are extremely low. UF is sort of unpredictable. They reject a lot of good students, but then accept some that are considered "sub- par" because of test scores or GPA. If you have a hook like being a first generation minority, or you are considered "economically disadvantaged"then you may have a shot of getting in b.c they don't have minimum test score requirements. Once again your chance is lowered if you are out of state.

I know this b.c I am in a similar situation, but with a 920 reading + math. My problem is unlike most low scorers though, because I am above average in 2/3 sections, just retarded in one. I have a 560 R, 540 W, and 360 (absolutely pitiful I know) in math, but a 4.8 gpa. I actually consider myself pretty smart and most ppl are shocked to hear that's what I've scored. But I know I suck at math lol.

Anyways, I was deferred from FSU ; meaning they didn't accept or reject me,until I bring up my math score to atleast a 500 and then MAYBE I will be accepted. Prolley won't happen though because Idk if I can get it to a 500. I'm still waiting on UCF and UF. I will probably be rejected from UF, but I know if I can bring up my math score to around a 450, I'm probably in for summer term at UCF.

Also, try the ACT. While FSU has minimum requirements for each section I think 19 English and 21 Math, UCF and UF do not. For UCF a anywhere from around a 21 but especially a 23 will most likely get you in for summer term.

GOOD LUCK. HOPE I HELPED :)

What are my chances of getting into UF/FSU/UCF?

As long as you make all A's and B's in your AP classes (with a little leeway for a C or 2) and pass the exams, earn the minimum SAT scores to qualify for each university (it would be better to earn a score in the median range of SAT scores, though), and earn the required amount of volunteer hours to graduate...

You seem to be looking pretty good for all three!

You might want to have more volunteer hours by the time you apply, though... it would look much better, plus you'd be closer to earning the required amount of volunteer hours to graduate.

Be sure to write a good essay, though! Sometimes the application essay can play a big part in deciding if you get in!

Otherwise, you are looking good for all three schools - especially considering that UF is the hardest of those three to get into!

hope this helps, i get a lot of college info from that website. (:

What are my chances of getting into FSU?

Right now nou won't get into FSU or UF. The middle range at FSU in 2011 was 3.7-4.2 GPA, 26-30 ACT, 1760-1980 SAT. You are outside of those range in every category. Usually people with way below average GPA's make up for it with high test scores and vice versa. Also, the above poster is misinformed. It is not easier to get into a school in another state. Public schools like UGA and Auburn give in-state students priority. They are required to give priority to in-state student because they receive most of their funding from the state government. The state government receives most of its money from taxing people in the state. Therefor the residents are given the first chance.

What are my chances of getting into FSU / UCF/ USF / UF / FAU?

Okay, I just moved from Oregon, to Florida (the schools here are amazingly/extremley compared to Oregon o_O)..

and currently in honors classes, and dual enrollment and have straight A's this year.

My current GPA not including this years grades, is a 4.2 (weighted) and 3.8 unweighted.
I'm in NHS (was in in Oregon as well)
and involved at church etc.

I havent taken my ACTs/SATs yet, but I'm signed up for them.

I plan on getting ATLEAST a 25+ / 1070 these first tries; I'm planning on taking them until I get a 28/1270+ or higher(for that bright futures 100% scholarship, its the reason why I moved here)

what are my chances on getting acctped to these schools?

[btw, I had a cousin that graduated from FSU if that helps my chances :o]

Do you think I have a chance of getting into UCF/FSU Film Programs?

Applying to FSU's film school is like applying to graduate school. After you fill out the general application and submit your materials to FSU, you have to send even more stuff to the film school. You need to send three letters of recommendation and a statement of purpose to the film school (you don't need to submit a portfolio). After that, if you're lucky, you'll get an interview. Then half of the people who are interviewed will get accepted.

Last year 800 people applied to the film school and only 30 were accepted. So, it's pretty tough to get in.

I think you have a very good chance though with your high GPA, high SAT score, and other accomplishments. It's hard to say what your odds are exactly. I bet you'll get an interview. You just need to nail the interview. You might want to find a message board where people have been interviewed before to get an idea of what's going to be asked.
