How does modern regulatory federalism contrast with the original intentions of the founders?

Following Lincoln's war of aggression the 14th amendment was passed to accomodate freed slaves. It created a second-class status so they wouldn't have Constitutional rights.

Prior to that time, there was no such thing as US citizenship. Individuals were Citizens of their state Republics.

Now very few people have Constitutional rights. Instead, you have civil rights and immunities as provided by the 14th amendment.

In other words, almost everybody has become second class citizens.

This was not the intention of the founders.

The intention of the founders was that the individual would be the sovereign and the government would be staffed with "public servants" who were hired to uphold and defend the Constitutional rights of individuals.

Unfortunately, beginning with the Supreme court judges and now Congress, our "public servants" are conducting themselves like Kings and tyrants running roughshod over a peasant class.

The public education system has dumbed down the population so effectively that an uprising hasn't occurred because most people don't even understand how the government has robbed us of our birthright by perverting our Constitutional government with the 14th amendment, robbed us of our money through the federal reserve act of 1913 and robbed us of our national heritage by gagging the churches through the 501(c)(3).
