What Branch In The Military Is Best For A Women

Which Is The Best Military Branch For Women?

Each branch has pros and cons for the individual. There is no "one" best branch that is a one size fits all. What might be good for one person (male or female) would not work for the next person.

I grow weary of seeing people stating that you should "Join the Marines" or "Navy is the best". Especially since the individuals who make these statements don't know you...don't know your personality or limitations and could be leading you to what ultimately could be the worst place for you. The best suggestion anyone can and should give, is that you do your own research into all of the branches of the military...talk to active and former members...and talk to recruiters.

I have found a good website which is well put together for you to explore all of the military service branches. Check this out. http://www.military.com/Recruiting/Conte...

Good luck...and be sure to come back with your questions.

What branch in the military is best for women to join?

If you are looking to become a nurse, I would recommend the Army of the Navy. Both have large nurse corps and you will be very hands on dealing with various situations assuming you join in time before we start leaving Afghanistan.

Just keep in mind though that if you are enlisting in the military just be a little bit wary of the recruiters as it's their job to sell you the idea of the military. I'm not saying to NOT join the service, I'm saying to take what the recruiters say with a 'grain of salt.'

Also, if you are looking to become an officer, try to contact the ROTC adviser or Military Science Professor at the college (if you are going to college). It's a good opportunity, but from what I understand ROTC has become more and more competitive thanks to the increased budget cuts so the scholarships that were once plentiful are now scare.

Hope this helps.

What's the best military branch for women to join?

I was in the Army and was stationed on an Air Force base part of that time. I firmly recommend that women seeking a military career join the Air Force because the Air Force respects brains more than brawn. It's nothing personal against the Army, but the mission of the Army is to work on the ground and that means that they are more focused on infantry sorts of things and the Air Force is more high tech in many respects. And as a woman I found that the macho, testosterone-laden atmosphere of the Army wasn't something most women would find suited them as well as the Air Force.

What branch of the US military has the most women?

The Army no doubt. The Army being the largest service of the Armed forces has the largest number of females. A quick look at women in themilitary, according to Pentagon figures: Total numbers: -- About 203,000 in 2011, or 14.5% of the active-duty force of nearly 1.4 million. -- That number comprises about 74,000 in the Army, 53,000 in the Navy, 62,000 in the Air Force and 14,000 in the Marine Corps.By the numbers: Women in the U.S. military

Which branch of the military is best suited for women?

Funny. Female Marines are NOT required to wear makeup in a dress uniform. They aren't even required to shave their legs. In regards to the skirt thing, it's at the discretion of the senior female most of the time. If she wears a skirt, you will most likely too. If she wears pants... well, you get the idea.

The Air Force has the most open jobs to females, the Marine Corps has the least. Recent news says that the Army and Marine Corps are actually opening up a lot of jobs for females soon.
You can be a combat photographer in any branch, male or female. However, as a female, you may or may not be able to go to an infantry batallion. Pay is the same in any branch. As an active duty E-1, you'll make around 1600 a month if you aren't married.
The buddy system works like this: They'll ship you to basic together, to any combat training together, and if you have the same job field, to the school house together. This is not a guarantee. If some unforseen circumstance arises, such as an injury that holds one back in training, you will be separated.

Which military branch do most women join?

In 2015, statistics showed that more women were in the Army, followed by the Air Force, Navy, and lastly, Marines.I can tell you that it generally boils down to first, personal choice; second ASVAB scores.I decided to go the Air Force route at 17, most likely because my father was in the ANG (prior Navy) and one of my brothers was in Loadmaster school at the time. It was what I was most familiar with. At that age, fitness requirements weren’t a concern, since I was an athlete however, there were many closed career fields to women, which was VERY frustrating and served to steer me in my initial direction. A lot of that has diminished over the years which may have more to do with the expansion of women spread out across the various branches.

Which military branch do girls like best? (:?

I don't think its about what branch you were in, its more of the fact that you were in the military wearing the uniform that women are attracted to.
