What Can I Upgrade On My Pc

What part should I upgrade on my PC?

You need a better video card.Unfortunately, you don’t know or understand what System Requirements are. This is what supposedly came in your computer.Radeon HD 7670 Can Run PC Game System RequirementsAccording to this page… TechPowerUp … it is just a rebranded 6670 OEM card.It still rates well.So. If you want to know what to purchase to provide better performance in a game… you need to know the game. Then you need to check the System Requirements for the game, and specifically the Recommended System Requirements. That will give you an idea of the LEAST you should be looking for in a video card. You say “games”. Games each have their own System Requirements. Some require more video card than others. So… unless you are going to purchase the ABSOLUTE BEST video card out there, so there is nothing better that you can get to have better performance… you are going to have to know the games you want to play, before you can know how your video card will play them. That’s just how it works. Sorry.System Requirements. Eluding game players since the invention of the computer game.

What Can I Upgrade On My Desktop PC?

I have seen the specs of your PC and here are the things you could upgrade to make it faster:

RAM : since 4 gb is the ideal for gaming then it is a wise move, your MOBO can only support up to 4 gb RAM.:

Two 240-pin DDR2 DIMM sockets

Supported DIMM types:

PC2-4200 (533 MHz)
PC2-5300 (667 MHz)
PC2-6400 (800 MHz)

Video card : your PC has one pci-e x 16 slot available, thus you could buy a good GPU PROVIDED that you also buy the appropriate PSU because your PC only has 160W PSU.

But instead of getting the HD6450, why not get this one instead which is much better:

XFX HD-677X-ZNLC Radeon HD 6770 1GB 128-bit GDDR5 PCI Express 2.1 x16 HDCP Ready CrossFireX Support Video Card - $110

The HD6770 can let you play all games on mid settings and some on high settings, its power requirement is 450w or greater thus here is an ideal PSU for this:

Antec NEO ECO 520C 520W Continuous Power ATX12V v2.3 / EPS12V 80 PLUS Certified Active PFC Power Supply - $60

BTW, the only thing that I am not sure is that if the HD6770 would fit in your CASING, thus I will leave that up to you, I;ll just give you the dimensions of the card and you determine it yourself by looking at the inside of your cpu and measuring it, or you could make a dummy GPU made out of carton with the same dimension and try to fit it in the casing, if it fits then that's good =P

here is the dimension of the XFX HD 6770:

Card Dimension - 8.7" x 4.38" x 1.5"

Can I upgrade my CPU E6550 to E8500? If not, which is the best CPU for upgrading E6550? Thanks so much!!?

You should be able to since if it already takes Core 2 Duo processors, then it shouldn't be limited. Some motherboards are limited to only Core 2 Duo or Pentium based LGA775, but yours does not seem the case. So sure you can upgrade to a E8500. I would choose the E8500 over the E6850, since it is much better then the Conroe version.
Have a nice day
