What Countries Have Been Affected By Volcanoes Helpp

What country has the most volcanoes?

Because Alaska is part of the United States, the US has the largest number of active volcanoes in the world (if Alaska was not a US state, the US would not even be in the top 10).

Are there any volcanoes in nepal? help please?

No volcanoes in Nepal till now. There are not any volcanoes even in neighboring countries like China, India, Pakistan, Bangladesh, Srilanka,... While checking the closest volcanoes from Nepal, I find in a long distance. Followings are found while checking the Google Earth map.

1. In West-South: Erta Ale, Ethiopia
2. In East-South: Merapi, Central Japa, Indonesia and Mayaon, Luzon, Philippines
3. In East-North: Fuji, Honshu, Japan
4. In North: Azasplateau, Southeastern Russia.

How do volcanoes affect humans?

Volcanoes affect people in many ways, some are good, some are not. Some of the bad ways are that houses, buildings, roads, and fields can get covered with ash.
your house may not collapse, but often the people leave because of the ash and are not around to continually clean off their roofs. If the ashfall is really heavy it can make it impossible to breathe.
Lava flows are almost always too slow to run over people, but they can certainly run over houses, roads, and any other structures,
Pyroclastic flows are mixtures of hot gas and ash, and they travel very quickly down the slopes of volcanoes. They are so hot and choking that if you are caught in one it will kill you. They are also so fast (100-200 km/hour) that you cannot out-run them. If a volcano that is known for producing pyroclastic flows is looking like it may erupt soon, the best thing is for you to leave before it does.
Some of the good ways that volcanoes affect people include producing spectacular scenery, and producing very rich soils for farming.

How is the hydrosphere affected by volcanoes?

The hydrosphere is affected by volcanoes in a few ways. Many of these effects are indirect- the eruptions cause the atmosphere to change and causes damages to the hydrosphere through this.Volcanic eruptions tend to release a good amount of ash. This can block the sun and cause temperatures to cool. The amount of gasses released can increase the temperatures as well.Increased temperatures can cause glaciers to melt- though the increase in temperature cannot be blamed on volcanoes alone.Cooling temperatures can cause winter to come early to specific places- in conjunction with ash blocking out the sun- and thus cause snow to fall earlier in the season that usual.Volcanoes located undersea can create island arc- see Hawaii- and thus change the ocean. Volcanoes undersea also change the environment around their main vents, increasing the temperatures in the water and thus changing the biology living around it.Even though the connections between volcanoes and the hydrosphere may not be the strongest, I still see it as a connection.

What two Asian island countries are almost entirely within volcano/earthquake areas?

check if any are in the Ring of Fire. if the philipenes are in asia, then those might be it. i'm not sure.
(the ring of fire is a place that has many fualts and fualtlines, thus having many earthquakes and volcanoes)

I need five countries where volcanic eruptions and earthquakes are uncommon. neede urgently please!?

Take a look at the map here:
http://www.iris.edu/seismon/

Generally, West and North Africa have virtually no seismic activity--pick any five on the Gulf of Guinea. The Scandinavian countries are a good bet too.

Just because something is in the middle of a tectonic plate doesn't mean it's seismically/volcanically inactive--take Hawaii, for instance.

(and I hate to pick on another answer, but Iran is on the border of the Eurasian and Arabian plates--and is quite seismically active. There was a 5.3 earthquake in Iran two days ago.)

What areas have been frequently affected by earthquakes, volcanic eruptions and tsunami?

Almost anywhere on the Pacific rim because the continents are slowly converging . The Pacific ocean plate is being subducted under the continents but it is not a smooth process, the plates stick until massive pressure builds and the plates jump releasing a quake and sometimes a tsunami. The ocean plate getting push down into depths the melts and part of the melt fuels volcanic activityJapan the classic exsample of earthquakes, tsunimis (a Japaness word) and volcanoesThe Pacific Northwest: Eureka California, north to Alaska the arcos to the Aleutian IslandsKamchatkaThe PhilippinesIndonesiaNew ZealandThe West Coast of South AmericaMexico and Central AmericaWhy not most of California, the primary faults are strike slip so you don’t get noticeable tsunamis unless they come from somewhere else in the Pacific. The further a tsunami travels the weaker it gets. Mt Shasta, Mt. Lassen and other volcanic fields are in the northern part of the state. The one other area of high threat is in Long Valley, a hot spot volcanic region.

What are some examples of dormant and extinct volcanoes in the caribbean?

Morne Diablotins - Dominica
The mountain is volcanic, and erupted 30,000-40,000 years ago. There are no known historical eruptions.

Kick-'em-Jenny - Grenada
An active submarine volcano on the Caribbean sea floor 8 km north of the island of Grenada. The volcano has erupted on at least twelve occasions since 1939 and 2001 (the last being on December 4, 2001)

La Grande Soufrière - Guadeloupe
or simply La Soufrière (French: "sulphur outlet"), is an active stratovolcano located on the French island of Basse-Terre, in Guadeloupe. Last eruption in 1977

Martinique, Montserrat, Netherlands Antilles, Saint Kitts and Nevis, Saint Lucia, and Saint Vincent and the Grenadines also have some, just follow the link, click on the country name in the right hand box and that will take you to the names of volcanoes in each of those countries (some have links with even more info about the volcano)

hope this helps

Why are volcanoes considered good?

Interesting Question. Here are some of the good things about Volcanoes.Earth formation happened, due to volcanic activity. If you have studied about it, then earth was full of volcanic activity billions of years ago.Volcanic soil is fertile and helps in overall near by land fertility changes. Hawaii is such an example. It helps us in study the creation and what is going on inside the earth. We can study rocks and minerals further. I have myself collected some of the rocks from old Volcanoes now submitted to the local museum.Sometimes, Volcano can actually help in getting new islands pushed to earth’s surface. Ryukyu Islands is such an example.Volcanic eruptions helps in getting some of the valuables minerals or rocks used for commercial purpose. pumice volcanic ash and perlite are mined for such reasons.Volcanoes help in periodically cooling off the planet.Volcanic activity can generate geothermal energy. We are at the initial stage of such power stations and need to harness the energy. Geothermal fields often create hot springs, geysers and boiling mud pools.Hope this helps.
