What does Verizon's phone insurance cover for my iPhone?
I think it covers everything but water damage and lost or stolen phone
What is considered physical damage to a phone?
Physical damage are damage done by dropping ur phone, smashing it....anything like that. They will also wont replace phone that has water damage like using ur phone underwater.
Do verizon wireless phones have a one year warranty on them?
If you did not buy the extended warranty through Verizon. The 1 year manufacture warranty will only cover defects with the phone. This includes malfunctions such as the screen going bad (not broken due to owner), keyboard going bad, lights not working on phone, software crash) Other than that such as dropping it, water damage etc. will not be covered by them. However if you buy the warranty they will cover more things (not exactly what things but more than the manufacture warranty) but Verizon won't let you buy insurance and make a quick claim on it either as they will make you wait a few months before they will even start to look at it under a warranty.
How do I transfer my Verizon service to another phone? Can I trade in phone at Verizon store?
If you have an unlocked phone with a SIM card you can go to any provider you want, but if you still owe money on the phone you better pay it off and if you're on a yearly plan you might be charged for a early cancellation, You can trade in a higher end phone at most cell provider's but the phone has to be in pretty prestin condition or they start knocking the price down. A lot of trade in phones just get a factory reset on them and will be resold to customers or 3Rd. parties to make a quick buck you see them a lot on places like eBay. When you decide to change companies the new place will transfer your account if you go to a prepaid service and your phone is unlocked all you need to do is put in the new SIM card and follow instructions if you want to keep your old number contact the prepaid office on the phone you are setting up while your still active with the present provider and they will do all the work for you just like another shop you would go to for new service.
Will Verizon replace a broken cell phone?
I have the samsung trance and bought it a couple months ago. Today it fell for the first time and the screen shattered. It turns on but the screen is just white. Will I be able to get the phone replace? also, i have a 2 year contract...

Unfortunately this is not something you can fix. I used to work refurbishing phones and when we came across one of those we had to list it as DOA. When a phone gets hot it's generally a bad circuit. If you've had it less than a year, it should still be covered by warranty , provided you haven't gotten it wet. Look for a small round sticker (sometimes a hexagon in Motorola phones) it should be white, if it's pink or red then the phone will be deemed as having "liquid damage" this and/or physical damage will void your warranty.
Verizon Warranty Useless?
About 18 months ago, I did the Verizon 2 phone plan. I pay $5.99 per month for each phone to have "TOTAL EQUIPMENT COVERAGE" Verizon describes this as: "Keep your phone and accessories covered from malfunctions, loss, theft and accidental damage by combining the benefits of our Wireless Phone Protection with a discounted Verizon Wireless Extended Warranty program." After about 15 months, both phones started having problems recharging. 1st the car chargers stopped working. Then, the home charger - may or may not work - each time you try to charge can be a frusterating experience. When I went to Verizon for the "warranty service" they told me I needed to buy new phones. They say the warranty only covers items for 12 months. I have complained to Verizon 3 times. One sales rep stated they had had a lot of problems with the Motorola phones but now they are better because the design has been changed to address this problem. Any suggestions?
Cracked iPhone screen, will Verizon insurance cover that?
I've been having problems with my iPhone getting stuck in headphone mode, and I've tried everything that I found online and nothing will work. I have insurance for my iPhone, but I don't know if they will replace the phone because it has one small crack in it? If I'm going there because of the problem with the external volume, will I have to file a claim through Asurion to get a new phone because it has physical damage?
