Do you think people are honest?
More and more, I too lose faith in the integrity of society. We are constantly given examples that forthright honesty and truth are not "en vogue." President Clinton and the "I did not have sexual relations with that woman," professional athletes assaulting and raping women, then claiming they were nowhere around, major business people caught up in insider trading (Martha Stewart) and embezzlement (Enron). It's no wonder that people are lying, they see the success it brings on the news nearly every night. All those I have mentioned were at best slapped on the wrist, and continue to make millions, if not billions of dollars per year. I have taught my children and young people with whom I work that there are only two things no one can ever take from you; only you can give them up: your faith and your integrity. Lose them, and they are extremely difficult to regain. I find myself now very cynical; and generally I trust no one until that trust is earned. But generally, no, I find people are not honest.

Why do people think they are honest?
people think they are honest , when there thought and action deed are the same.this may be negative / positive. example a criminal thought of robbery and excecutes his plan, by actual robbing- he thinks he his honest, since his thought and action are same. but we cannot call this honesty.a person with altruistic attitude and thoughts and deed in action is an honest person.example if person saw a purse fallen of person nearby and notices the same and informs the person accordingly- then he his honest in truest sense.but generally people like to make use of opportunity in case of fallen purse and would not inform the person, then pocket the same / inform him , when the person notices.
Do you think you're honest? Why are you so?
I am mostly honest (apart from white lies because they are necessary nine times out of ten), because I really hate being hypocritical.It is one of my biggest pet peeves when anyone is hypocritical, and thus I try to avoid it as much as possible. When one is hypocritical, it just screams to me that they are not introspective enough and live in their own bubble a bit too much.I also really believe the whole ‘be the change you want to see in the world’ mantra, and so always act in the manner which I think is morally correct at all times. This can be tiring at times, but being honest is great because then you don't have to remember all the lies you’ve told and who you’ve told them to.

Why? Who are you talking to? Why do you want something with such a depressing statement, that shows no hope? It is bleak. Sounds like you are not planning on having a future, so why bother going through with such a negative thing to say tattooed on you? I think that it is a horrible idea, unless you plan on it being your suicide note, and then why go through the getting, and the healing etc.? Really why bother? If you plan on, or want to have, a future happy life, filled with possibilities, this is a good way to kill that idea. Is this a Goth thing?

It's cute and you did a good job but be careful that if you meet someone that seems like they are in trouble (I saw your "boy advice" link) - let a parent know before something really bad happens! Parents do care about you and sometimes you think we're a pain but we just want to make sure that nothing bad happens to you!
What do you think about this piece I wrote? Please be honest.
I think that the premise and morals of the story are pretty strong, but to be honest: as a piece of literature it does not work for me ... yet.There is a lot that I think needs editing. The first paragraph is written in a very abstract way. It does not evoke any picture in my brain. Using the principle of "show, don't tell" could help to improve it. This still holds true for most parts of the story.The second paragraph needs to be shortened. It is rather redundant (for example:" ...he empowered her... ... On the other hand, she felt so powerful"). It could be reduced to one sentence: "They fell in love with each other."The next paragraph seems a bit cheesy to me. It does not really say much, but is rather an attempt of poetic writing just for the sake of it. It could be removed without losing much.There are also a lot of small inconsistencies like this sentence: "The proposal to him came at the right time as their third year approaches."It does not clarify why this should be the right time for him. From reading the rest of the story, it gets clear that it was really a very bad time.The last two paragraphs just summarize the morals of the story. In my opinion there is no need to do that. If the story is written succinctly and clear enough, it will have a much stronger effect than explicitly spelling out the morals.Please don't take my answer as offence. I really think you can and will have a strong story here, if you put enough time into editing.Edit: Another thing I forgot to mention is: be careful with grammar. You keep on switching between past and present tense, which should be unified.
