What Happens After I Submit A Dc

What happens if you don't pay a parking ticket from Washington DC?

My boyfriend got a parking ticket in DC just a few months ago. If you don't pay it in the allotted time, it doubles! I checked its status on the internet because he totally forgot about it until I found it sticking out of the phone book! It went from $100 to $200! I can't even imagine if you went without paying it for more than a few months what the fine would increase to!

You can pay it online if you don't feel like mailing it.

What happen if AC Supply willl given to a DC Motor ?

It depends on the construction of the motor. If the field winding is connected in series with the armature winding, the motor is like a universal motor and will probably operate normally. If the field winding is connected in parallel with the armature, the motor will not run, but will draw current, make noise and get hot.

Edit 1
Shunt wound DC motors are not suitable for AC operation because the difference in inductance between the armature and the field causes a relative phase shift between the armature current and the field current. For a DC motor to operate with AC current, the armature and field currents must reverse at exactly the same time, as they do when the windings are connected in series. For reasonably good performance, the cores need to be laminated and the brush position needs to be set to 90 degrees.

Help with submitting photos to modeling agency?

I live near Washington, D.C. After doing some searching I found an agency nearby called "T.H.E artist agency." They have an option to submit your information as well as photos to be reviewed as a form on the website..
The photos that they want are non-professional photos of a close-up of your face & a full body swimsuit picture (little/no makeup). I have a pretty nice DSLR that I can use to take these photos so I am not worried about image quality.
I have never done anything like this before but ever since I was 14 or so (I'm 17 now) quite a few people have asked if I model or suggested that I should so I figured Hey, why not try?

My main question is how would I go about setting these photos up? Should I photograph against a white background? Outside? Is there something specific that people usually wear? If anyone has experience with this please help! :) I would greatly appreciate it. I don't aspire to be a top model or anything but if I can get in to the business a little bit it would be nice to do a few shoots to help earn money for college...
Thanks for any help!

How would one become a writer for dc or marvel?

The first thing I discovered was that DC is not accepting submissions from writers right now http://www.dccomics.com/submissions and, judging from the apparent removal of their submissions guidelines page, neither is Marvel.

That said, what you need to search for is submission guidelines for the company you're looking at- for Dark Horse you would enter dark horse submission guidelines- and you should get the information you need. I also want to point out that even if a company isn't accepting submissions right now, you still would want to get your submissions ready asap since there is a learning curve to sequential art and it can take some time to reach a point where you- and the company in question, natch- are happy with your portfolio.

To that end, this page offers good information on submissions: http://www.optimumwound.com/the-submissi...

Good luck. Learning this stuff and getting good at it can be fun and rewarding, as even just a few pages will show you.

Edit: Excuse me, I tend to think of writing and art as one thing when it comes to comics, especially since I'm an artist and have to do my own writing. The advice still applies because I was actually talking about writing and had a slip of the tongue.

If you can make a connection with someone in the business, by all means do so. If you can't, though, it's still important to let your work be seen. It helps to have mad art skills then, since pictures can be taken in at a glance. If the images draw the eye, the story follows. If nothing else you can put your work on the internet just to get it out there. Just don't make what you display something you wish to keep creators rights on unless you already own a copyright on it, because if it's good the idea WILL get stolen. As for submissions, tailor them to the company you're presenting them to. DC characters for DC Comics (it's ok to use their heroes as long as it's just for portfolio purposes), something preferably non-superheroic for Dark Horse, etc.

In the figure below, if AC=12, DC=18, and DB=15, what is the length of AF?

Triangles BCD and FCA are both indicated to be right triangles, and they have an angle in common, at C, that isn't a right angle. Thus, they are similar triangles, and the ratios of corresponding sides are equal.

So
AF/AC = DB/DC
AF/12 = 15/18
AF = 12 (15/18) = 12 (5/6) = 10
which is answer C.
